worst school ever ! honestly i don't like olympian high school the teachers are really bad olympian expects a lot from one to the point where its just to much stress I'm really done of olympian sadly i can't change schools because supposedly its the best in the district yeah its true but its because they stress the students way to much to the a point where its just bad if you have a chance not to go to olympian don't go because its a bad school theres like 4 good teacher out of like 25 i would say or more one half are really strict teachers that treat you like college students and will give you 1 packet of 8 pages per day I'm a freshmen and get homework for each class then less than the other half are teachers who don't care at all but students you might think thats good but believe me its not because they won't just give you A they will expect you to do all good even though they don't even teach at all so when it comes to test you are doomed so good luck dear students who parents think olympian is a good school for you only because its rated number 1 in the district its not about the school its about the persons who want to succeed in life and be someone in life

I love this school it's great. The teacher TEACH the students are friendly and I'm in the marching band. So fun
My son is a freshman and is having a great experience. He is a transfer student and we have to drive him to the east side. He is also is the marching band and loves it. We are very happy at this school.
So far my freshman is not having a good experience. The kids are unfriendly 98% wear very inappropriate clothing and 99% can't seem so talk in sentences that contain less than 3-5 curse words. Several of the teachers have little patience with the kids. The parent functions usually involve the new principal spending a lot of time talking about statistics numbers acronyms etc. I'd rather visit classrooms and see performances. Hopefully things will change if not I'll be looking for another school. Really too bad because my child had elementary & middle school experiences that were OUTSTANDING and has lifelong friends from both. Really sad to see things going this way in high school. Not sure why the school isn't focusing on the language problem and the dress code. Playing loud music during lunch time doesn't help the situation. Not every child in interested in "partying" at lunch time nor should it be forced upon them. The academic choices seem good. Homework is a bit too much - more than 3 hours each night. So far not so impressed therefore I would not recommend sending your child to this school.
We enrolled our daughter here since we came from Hawaii which she was doing poorly in school and I am very happy we did. Her grades have gone up and she absolutely loves the school they have a great program I love the communication from the teachers and school they are doing a great job!!
I am currently a senior here and have been attending since sophomore year. This skill is founded on great principles and really focuses on our education. I absolutely love this school and will miss it once I leave. The teachers are always helpful and make learning interesting. It has a great vibe that everyone can just be able to get along with one another. Our motto " Where Champions are Made!"
I love my school. I am currently a senior at Olympian high school and a student since the first day its wings opened. I will remain an Eagle for life! We are new but we are well known. Teachers are amazing staff makes sure we are safe and we are all motivated to keep the school having a great stature in our society. The classes are challenging but teachers encourage and commit in working with their students. Each year that had passed since I first came it just got better. This year I have great teachers and I love learning. I will miss Olympian once I graduate but surely we are the first four year students at OHS! I am an Eagle for life.
I am currently a senior student of Olympian High and I absolutely love my school. I have attended Olympian High ever since the school first opened in 2006. School is like a second home and I really think that students of Olympian do not mind having to come to school everyday. All the students and teachers make the atmosphere really friendly and calm. There is not any scandalous drama like there is in other schools. The students are really encouraged to do their best and I know for a fact that almost every student of the senior class is enrolled in at least one advanced placement class. As a student I feel a little overwhelmed sometimes but overall my experience at Olympian has been positive. GO EAGLES!!!!!!!! GO ACADEMIC LEAGUE!!!!!!!!
We enrolled our son here rather reluctantly and have been pleasantly surprised at how well the school is run how well parents/tachers communicate and how the use of technology is encouraged. From 'MY Gradebook.com' to personal emails we are always able to check up on what's going on.
Im am a senior at this school right now & I've been going here since sophomore year. I am confident to say that this school is the best highschool your sons/daughters would ever go to. Every class offers a high-quality education that I can not even compare to other schools in the district. All of my teachers are very helpful and tries to get to know me in a more personal level that actually ensures my success in their classes. Also with a principal like Mr. Devore I am sure that there are gonna be more successful students that this school would produce in the future.I have a great respect for Mr. Devore not only because of how he outstandingly does his job but because of how he shows sincerity and concern in the success of every student.
This is a great school - principal and staff are dedicate to supporting all students to become ready and ABLE to succeed in a 4 yr college if they choose to go. First school in district to ever score a 6/0 in WASC accreditation; the accreditation team said 'this school would be a model school for any high school wanting to earn a 6/0 score!'
I enrolled my son at this school this year of 2009. I rated this school excellent because from the receptionist all the way up to the principal they showed so much concern. I am very grateful that I enrolled my son to this school. The school curriculum and its teachers are great. Its students are well mannered. My overall rating of olympian is 'it is the best among the rests'. Olympian is unique it is nestled in country atmosphere where students can focus more on their studies. The teachers deserve to be commended as well as mr. Devore the principal and the vice principal Ms. Leano. She is great and super. She made sure students are not left behind. Great school
great school with great leadership
As a senior of this high school I am really proud to be an Olympian eagle. We engage ourselves to become prepared for college and strengthen our college readiness skills and Habits of Mind. Every few months every teacher is uniform in teaching the students to practice the college readiness skills. These include practicing summary evaluation analyzing describing and synthesizing. Every student is to become familiarized in their Habits of Mind which consists of metacognition intellectual peserverance and also intellectual curiousity. Although Olympian is a small school it will become into a great school followed by great morals and values. The staff members will try to assure and fulfill the mission statement of the school. very graduate of Olympian High School will qualify and be academically ready for success in a four year college or university.' Olympian High School- 'Where champions are made.'
great school... good teachers students sports and everything else go eagles
Olympian High School is a great school. Our principal makes sure that every student is college-bound and teaches us the skills that we will need in college. Olympian has very high standards and has been a challenge for me for the past 2 years. However I know that this will all the more prepare me for college.
It's a fun school to be at. The teachers and other students are all pretty nice. The varsity sports are at were we can be but we're still growing. As a student the schedules can be modified because Wednesdays have periods 1 2 3 for two hours each period and on Thursdays we have periods 4 5 6. We don't have that big of an attention span!! Anyways it a great school to go to.
I went to Olympian high school for my freshamn and most of my sophomore years and believe me I've gone to my fair share of schools. I've moved several times and just moved back to texas in March of 2008. Out of all the school I have been to this has been the best one by far. Teachers and staff most definately give an enormous effort into teaching their students and making their classes interesting you can tell they care about our future. Anyone who has the opportunity to go through the 'olympian experience' is very lucky you have no idea how huge of a difference it isfrom other school. Going to OHS was one of the best choices I have made so far and it was a huge loss. Cristina Alvarado
My oldest son started his high school career this year and chose to attend Olympian High School. The school is outstanding with a great principal and caring teachers and coaches. My son has always been an excellent student-athelet and continues to excel in both aspects at this high school. Most of the parents are also supportive and involved although it would be great to see more parents. My husband and I are looking forward to next two years when our younger sons begin school there. Go eagles!
Olympian High School is is unique. The school is unique because of the excellent leadership from our staff and the genuine effort they give in providing the student body with a healthy learning environment. Although the school's teachers are not all charismatic people with passions for teaching it is the norm.
