We love Glider! The teachers are wonderful and provide an excellent learning environment for all students. Glider has excellent parent participation.

Glider School is part of the Oak School District which to date has dodged the worst of the budget cuts over the last few years. It has a strong and caring Principal Harris who has great ambitions for an already good school. The staff are committed and will often volunteer at school and non-school events even with this tough economy. The school is older but the equipment is good and they have a computer lab with brand new computers. All in all a great learning environment

My daughter has been attending Glider for the 4th year and my wife and I are very pleased with her progress and teachers she has had. Parents are very involved and the staff is very happy to go the extra mile for the students. My daughter has excelled and loves her school. I'm also an alumni of this school and it has was great even then (20 years ago).

I am a new parent to this school. So far I have been really impressed with the quality of work put forward from my childrens teachers. My children have been through so much termoil in the past that they tend to need extra support from their teachers. The teachers really go the extra mile. This is the first school where the parents are involved in every way event.

This is the 8th year I've had children attending Glider. They are all excelling academically (based on state and national scoring) and Glider provides wonderful opportunities for them to grow as students and people. It also prepares them well for moving out of elementary school into junior high. I m expecting Glider to be even better this year. We got a wonderful new infusion of students teachers and families from another excellent school that unfortunately had to be closed. We also got a fantastic new principal. It can be tough to merge two communities but the students are thriving. The teachers at Glider are amazing. We ve got a great mix of master teachers with invaluable experience and new teachers with new insights. The best part is they are all excellent and enthusiastic educators who are willing to learn from each other as well as their students.
