Disappointed in teachers the way they deal with the ADHD students. Disappointed in teachers with there following through with what they tell you in a meeting. I'm hoping next year will be better.

I'm trying to check up on my daughter grades having some problems getting into it unfortunately I'll get there. I would like to thanks the teacher for thier patience and the time thier giving to help the children in Borel. Also all the staff in the office especially the principal the smile and for welcoming us as we enter the office. Thank you all! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

I graduated from Borel in 1963 when it only had 7th and 8th grades. It was a very different time then. Girls were not allowed to wear pants only dresses and skirts. I got an excellent education here. At that time they had very innovative classes in math science and english. I was able to then go to Aragon college (with a 4.0) and McGeorge Law School. I hope all the students here are able to appreciate this school.

A sixth grader here at Borel I feel that the teachers are EXCELLENT! All my siblings have gone to Borel and all say the same thing about the teachers. I'm extremely happy here. The principal truly cares and goes from class to class seeing that all is good. The new music teacher is excellent the music program is challenging and fun. Borel is an I.B. school and I am extremely happy here. Borel is an AMAZING school.

The principal John Cosmos is an amazing leader and an amazing human being. He runs the school better than any principal I have ever met. When you come to him with any issue at all he listens and is very responsive. The teachers my child has this year are top notch. We are very happy. M. Aronoff

I am a seventh grader at this Borel. I think the school is great for the developing middle schooler because of its diversity and supportive staff. The music program is phenomenal and the after-school activities are very popular. In terms of academics I feel that students who are better learners need to be challenged more. I am in Algebra this year but in sixth grade everyone was put into the same class and I felt like I was not learning to my full capacity. However the teachers work hard to help each individual child. Overall Borel is a wonderful school.

I am a seventh grader in this school and I have mixed feelings about it. The Band is great with a great variety of songs and challenging rthmic studies. The academics are a little different. Alot of the teachers are great but in class alot of time is spent up when the teachers are constantly telling the students to be quiet or pay attention as this can be a real problem. Alot of the teachers make the subjects sound as boring as possible and only teach out of the textbook. Our long term projects can get kind of old after doing the same project multiple times and they are not nearly as interesting as the ones that I hear about from my friends at other schools. All the extra curricular activities are at other schools also so I dont see what the real buzz would be about them.

Borel is a great school to go to and fits all students' needs. I went to Borel myself for two years and is continuing. The teachers put great care into their students education at all times.

Teachers are more likely to let your child skate - the potential is there - they have some really great teachers but as a parent you have to let them know what you're expecting from your child. If we didn't tell the teachers that we expected our son to get straight A's - along with showing his standardized test scores - above 90th percentile for everything - they would be perfectly happy letting him earn B's and C's. The teachers responded well & we've been very happy since.

My son has done great at this school. He gets extra help and is flourishing in math. He is an 8th grader and taking high school geometry already. He is also able to take high school spanish and get the first year out of the way. Can't do that in any parochial school that i know of.

I go to this school and this school is not a bad school. It teaches students like me seriously. The teachers are understanding and have positive energies.

This school teaches to the lowest common denominator. Grade inflation is common - this year the school is not using grades The brightest are going private

My child just started this year. In the two weeks she has told me that her favorite teachers were in her Social Studies Math & Science Music and Int. Latin Studies subjects. This tells me that the learning environment and the caliber of teachers are very good. Thank you. Will give another update at the end of the year.
