As a former student it was good at best. Even though the beginning/middle was hard on me & I was depressed. There were a lot of self-centered teachers though. There were about 2 teachers that DID care about how depressed I was & they actually helped me through that time. I miss it back there b/c I got popular after singing at the talent show & which was the sunshine after the rain. I miss it there high school's not what I thought it would be like. Or as Gerard Way once said "I hate the ending myself but it started w/ an alright scene."

I have enjoyed my son's first year at Elko so far. I have never been in a school where the Exceptional students were treated equally. Mr Suhr Rocks I wish he could be cloned!

if the staff and administration weren't a bunch of totalitarians I'd like the place but at least the building condition is excellent

I strongly dislike elko because the staff considers no one but themselves i think its absolutely ridiculous when teachers take time out of the students class period to talk to another teacher about other students . NOT RECOMMENDED!

Mrs. Perera and the staff members go above and beyond. Thanks for helping our children soar to new heights!

Elko Middle School is a tight run ship and its leader is the one to thank for that. Mrs. Perera and her staff at Elko have the children's education and safety as their main priorities. I couldn't ask for better communication from the staff or administration. I am so proud to be an Elko Eagle Parent watching my kids soar to new heights! Thank you Elko Staff!

I've always said that Sandston is the best kept secret in Henrico County and Elko Middle School is one of the reasons why. The staff members go above and beyond each day the students strive for excellence in all they do each day and the parents and community members work together to help the Eagles soar to success each day. A winning combination all around.

Elko is amazing! The teachers are the best!!!! They strive to meet every child at where they are and push them to their fullest potential. The administration is wonderful. They always have the interest of what is best for students and keeping us all safe. The students and the parents are wonderful to work with everyday. Everyone is invested in providing the best education for the students and the students work very hard each day meeting all of the expectations. Elko is soaring to phenomenal heights!!!!!

Elko is soaring to phenomenal heights! I feel fortunate to be a part of such a great school. As the TSA t-shirt read...The higher we soar the smaller we look to those who can not fly.

Elko opened in 2007 and has risen to be a star in HCPS...the environment is welcoming the students work hard and they are on the verge of greatness. It is perhaps the best kept secret in HCPS...it is no wonder their enrollment numbers have exploded. My kids are so happy there.
