Principal G. S. has put his heart and soul in at Live Oak noticing and taking action in our strengths and weaknesses. In one year I have personally noticed positive improvements on academics nutrition physical education communication and community involvement. Teachers are friendly and involved with all students. Students seem to embrace and appreciate differences. Older and younger students learn and play together. If Live Oak were to put a soccer team together they'd be competitive with high school level easy.

My son has attended Live Oak Elementary since Kindergarten he is now a 5th grade student. All I can say over and over again is what great teachers this school has. They are truly dedicated give their all and genuinely care about their students success. The staff is amazing! Everyones dedication and love of education has helped break barriers and stigmas; because of their great work and the hard work and progress of the students Live Oak Elementary has been able to get out of program improvement. Parent involment has improved throughout the years and I personally believe that it will only continue to get better. The Live Oak Home and School Club has done wonders. They've recently helped purchase computers for all the classrooms bought a stage for the MUR and has helped restore the school's garden and much more. All this with funds raised through parent led fundraisers. I would defintely recommend this school to anyone who is looking for an above average school. The staff here really cares for our children. There is great diversity and it truly feels like a community. Can't say nothing but positive comments.

I just want to say that through out the time my son has attended Live Oak Elementary it has been wonderful I want to thank Anna from the school office and Home school club she is very much involved in the PTA encouraging parents to participate in school events. Live Oak is very clean and organized my son and I felt very safe and enjoyed our time here... all teachers are courteous and kind. I also want to thank Mr. Albano for being such a great motivator to the 5th graders. I must say again and again our experience at Live Oak has been wonderful !!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK...

The emphasis in this school is on the non-english speaking students. My son fell by the wayside until I took him out and put him into private school. Also the school itself is in need of some serious repair. Definitely look into other schooling options for your child.

I'd homeschool or look into the charter schools before considering any of the Live Oak schools. Its sad because kids in this neighborhood could so benefit from quality schools.
