We have had three children attend St Marys and have found the school to be great for our children. The teachers are caring and helpful. The children learn and thrive in the smaller class size. Glad we made the choice to send them to St Marys.

St. Mary of the Assumption School is a wonderful family centered Catholic environment. If academic rigor and Catholic Identity are important to your family St. Mary is the best school in Santa Maria!
St. Mary's offers our children a wonderfully respectful safe creative and fun environment to learn. Class size enables students and teachers of every grade level to know each other and feel a sense of community. Children are met and taught at their ability level and encouraged to thrive not only as students but also as people as well. The Christian environment helps to build future citizens who think beyond themselves to a world with human and environmental needs. St. Mary's is not only helping to build academically good students but good well-rounded people.
Love It Love It Love It!! My child has been going to St Mary's since Preschool and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I've had such a wonderful experience. The teachers staff and principal are awesome. It's such a close knit community your child(re) are well taken care of. I know my child will succeed at St Mary's and onto St Joseph's HS and off to college.
Unlike the review listed below this is my second time around I have graduated one child and have another enrolled. The curriculum is age appropriate and they perform at the top of the class versus at the bottom of the class I find the teachers very warm and friendly. The principle is also always available. It is a very small close knit community I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this school in the last 14 years. I do not know what school the parent below is sending her child too can't be the same one my children attend.
My children have only been there a handful of days and I'm not impressed. I'm waiting to see if things gel. So far as a parent I feel isolated it's not that the teachers are not warm and welcoming or the principle It might be just difficult for me at this time. I want to withhold judgement until we get a little farther into the school year.
