This school had a change of principals in 2010 and is now adjusting. We'll wait and see where it is going. Increasingly she feels as if it is being run by a clique of parents. There are still some great teachers for all levels; great art and music including violin.

My children have gone to Tatum Ridge since it has been open. I could not ask for a better experience for each of my children. The whole staff is so welcoming. What a wonderful school!!!

My son is just finishing his first grade year at Tatum Ridge. This has been an amazing experience. My son has grown and developed skills that I thought he wouldn't learn until atleast next year. His teacher was awesome. She has each student learning at their own level and really keep the kids challenged. I would highly reccomend this school. There are many opportunities for parent involvement. I spent many hours volunteering in my sons class and the teacher welcomed me with open arms. What a wonderful experience for me and the kids. I am excited about starting second grade in the fall and my son feels so good about his accomplishments this year. His teacher has really given him the tools he needs to be a successful student. The administration is also among the best. Our principal and Vice Principal are truly there for the kids.

This is a fantastic school with great teacher's and the grades are just awesome. I have two children who go to the school and have been there since the school opened in 2005 and they are doing fantastic and have lots of friends too. The school loves to have parent involvement and has things like kelso kid and tatum techie of the month and principals list once a quarter which parents are invited too. Then there are things like donuts for dad morning and mother's day etc...You will be sure to just love this school!

Mrs. Russell is an exceptional experienced principal and the teaching and support staff are caring professional dedicated and provide a safe fun and challenging atmosphere where students excel and have pride in themselves their class and their school. 2005-2006 was Tatum Ridge's first year as it is Sarasota's newest elementary school. One of the best features of the school is their state-of-the-art technology with brand new computers in each classroom and in the fully equipped technology learning centers. Students attend fun-packed PE three times a week. The media center is spacious and promotes a love of reading. The music room is exceptionally equipped and the art room promotes fun creativity. The PTO is very hard-working and as a result is very successful. The campus is beautiful and designed for safety. The children love the playground areas for recess. This is an excellent school staffed with excellent people producing excellent students. A+
