I am so please with the Schuylerville School District. The teachers are wonderful and the principal leadership is the best I've seen. Parents are very involved and feel very included.

Schuylerville Elementary School helped educate my two sons--one of whom is intellectually disabled. We've always been grateful for the care and concern given our family by the school staff and community. I also want to recognize the school as one of our most generous and faithful supporters of the local community food pantry. Food is donated throughout the school year and all the third graders each year take a field trip to the pantry to donate food and learn more about the importance of people helping people.

One of the best in the area. The elementary school tends to beat out larger districts in State exams. The great part is they do not teach directly to the exam.

Schuylerville elementary is excellent as long as you make the effort to be involved in your child's education. There are many opportunities at Schuylerville for parent input. Unfortunately I think too many people leave it up to the school to 'take care of it.' With the school getting larger the chances for children to fall through the cracks are going to increase. Regarding small class size in the previous review Class size in third grade next year will hover around 25 and other grades will be similarly impacted. Parents need to stay involved and make sure they are getting all they can out of the school.

Schuylerville elementary has been an excellent school for our son. The class sizes are quite manageable 19 in his second grade class. He is very enthusiastic and his enthusiasm is mirrored in the young energetic dedicated staff at the school. High achievers are challenged and while we haven't made it to the high school yet it's encouraging to see Ivy-League bound graduates from the less than 150 graduates of recent classes. The school was recently rated in the top 10 in Capital District schools by the business review ahead of Saratoga Springs even. All-in-all Schuylerville has delighted us as a well-grounded earnest positive and confident district where the teachers and parents are working together to give all the kids a good education.

Schuylerville used to be a wonderful rural school system. It has declined into a typical suburban school with all the problems of a much larger school

The Schuylerville School system has exceeded our expectations. The involvment on all levels from principals/ teachers to cafeteria staff is student centered. Children are greeted each day with a smile. I would highly reccommend the Schuylerville School system!

I think this school is great! The principles are fantastic with the kids and the teachers can really teach. The problem I think that needs to be fixed over this summer is more room for kids to learn. They are going to start working on that problem though because tax payers voted yes for the building proposal. Overall this is a great school.

The school is quite good. The principal Mr. Mugits is wonderful with the children and a true asset to the district. There are some problems however. There are too many 'out of the classroom' activities that take away from the children learning the basics (like study skills for example). They have computer classes starting in K but my 4th grader doesn't know anything about basic keyboarding skills. And the district is not overly concerned with the wallets of the taxpayers; it's becoming far too expensive to live within the district. We've mostly been pleased with the school but it's certainly not perfect.

I will start by stating the good things about the school. The availability of extracurricular activities is outstanding. The teachers are good. I believe they push the kids to learn too much too soon. They say parents are welcome to help and that they have an open door policy but they DO NOT! When it comes to children that need a little extra 'help' the staff says that they will start this program that will help...they will do tests...but all it is is 'sweeping it under the rug.' The elementary school is terrible but the high school is great.

Needs to be more of a push for the academics in the lower grades. There is an abundance of music art and sports within the community for the elementary aged children. Parents are a major part of the school and there are many many volunteers.

I absolutely love the fact that the Principal Mr. Mugits knows practically every child by his or her first name. Every time I go to the elementary school I always encounter Mr. Mugits walking talking and interactingwith everyone in the school. It is indeed a pleasure to see just how much he truly cares about this school and its student body..

I currently have a Second & Fourth grader at Schuylerville Elementary I think it is an awesome school. The teachers and administration care about each & every student. A+++++ for a public school.
