My children have attended Charles Sumner for 3 years. The school exceeds all my expections in an elementary school. The teachers go above and beyond the call of duty to address the students needs. They also provide extra incentives to encourage the children to read including Accelerated Reader program with the top Reader getting do something crazy to the principal. The principal is always available should a parent need to speak to him and encourages active communication. The PTA is small in membership size but huge in activities. There are activities scheduled throughout the year for the kids to look forward to. The music is second to none. All 4th graders are given the opportunity to learn an instrument. All and all you can't ask for a better elementary school.
