My granddaughter really like SDSA. She is very artistic musical and loves to dance. I hope she will be band(s). At the age of 5 years old I am teaching her piano. So far the only complaint I've heard from her is about the uniforms. A Proud Grandmother!

SDSA fosters an atmosphere of creative learning respect and challenges children to think 'out of the box.' I can't think of a better environment for my child to grow. The teachers and staff are very supportive of one another and encourage the students to do the same.

I attended this school for my 8th grade year (the highest grade available) the year it opened and I never enjoyed school so much before or since. I am planning to transfer my son to this school because I highly approve of hands-on arts-based education. I have an 18-month-old daughter who I will have attend this school as well once she is of age. I highly recommend this school to any parent especially those who find their child is having difficulty in other public schools and loves the arts. The drama and dance programs are exceptional and the arts program was very enjoyable. I attended mainly for the music program and enjoyed chorus band and jazz band in addition to standard music classes.

I have recently graduated from the halls of this pleasant school. Although I only came to S.D.S.A. my 4th grade year I've had many good experiences at this school. The only problem I've experienced from an outsider's perspective is that this school is ridiculously sheltered. Sporting events would at least integrate students with possible school mates in high school but I'm sure some parents would prefer the least amount of interaction with the public as possible. The sheltered lifestyle also contributes to the mind boggling immaturity of some of the student body. Not all students have this trait but a majority does.

O my goodness! I love this school! I'm a student going in to the 7th grade. My opinion on the school is that I wouldn't go anywhere else. The teachers are so great .I feel that they teacher above other schools. Even though there are no sports for the middle school children we all have a blast with the arts! I love this school!

im a student and i have been at sdsa for 8years. 1-5 is probably the best education you can get in sussex but middle isnt that great. The teachers get worse and you really have no way of communacating to them.

I've gone to this school since 5th grade and I'm now in 8th. I love it. I found my voice here and it is a great opportunity for me to learn through the arts. We feel like family here and I believe that anyone comes here they will love it just as much as I do.

I have attended SDSA since 2nd grade. I'm currently going into 8th grade and it is the best school for anyone who loves the arts and loves to learn. The teachers are amazing. I'm in choir and Mrs.Adkins really knows her music. It's going to be very sad to leave this coming school year. SDSA is like a big family. Everyone knows everyone and you are close with everyone. The teachers are awesome when they aren't teaching too! It's nice to know that if you are going through anything you have so many people to help! Over all my SDSA experience is definitly a good one that I will never forget!

I just graduated from SDSA last night.I cried all night untill I went to bed.It was all like a dream like it never happened.I will never be in a school quite as friendly and safe as SDSA.It is like a second home to me.I'm going to miss it.

Both of my children attended this school and loved it. The attention they got from the teachers and administration was fantastice. If far surpassed the attention they recieved prior to this school and once they left it and moved on to High School. SDSA serves this community well and shall for many more years to come. Hopefully some day the district well let this school continue into High School. That is my only regret that they had to leave after 8th grade. Thank you SDSA for all you did for my children.

I am currently an 8th grader at sdsa and started when I was in 2nd grade. The school has a very relaxed and open atmosphere. The curriculum is hard but rewarding. I feel that going there has made me feel more comfortable with who I am. -Alyssa Y.

I attended this school last year and it is the best school out there. Not only does it have great teachers you get many life experiences and you learn more about yourself. The drama program with Mr. D is the best around I dont think anyone who ever went to this school hated it. There's something for everyone...Music Drama Drama Tech Art Instrumental Music and so on. If i could have one wish is it to be opened for high schoolers because I never wanted to leave.
