i concur with the last poster. I am relieved that the current principal is leaving after this year. She was unable to deal with the new school population (i.e. the influx of students from less desirable elementary campuses). Other middle schools have done a better job of integrating these students into their population. Good luck and good riddance!

My child moved to another school mid year. She was completely unprepared even though she never had a grade below a B at Bailey. She also would come home with stories of kids getting bullied. I spoke to the administration and was told that bullying did not happen at this school. I was told by other children that it was ignored and even situations where bullied kids were shamed for going to the administration and tattling.

Outstanding school. Really prepares the kids for high school and it's in a great neighborhood.

I am currently at LASA High School and I came in thinking I will understand most of the material. Surprisingly most kids from kealing and fulmore knew exactly what to do on the first day and I was left in the dust thinking to myself "What is going on". Classes are fast paced and we cover a lot of material. Bailey was totally the contrary of LASA. This school didn't prepare me well for High School whatsoever.

I rate this school poorly because of the principal. She is manipulative often absent from campus gives poor direction to the staff and students and is willing to do anything to give herself a feather in her hat.

Bailey MS is a good school but it has undergone many changes in the past couple of years that have presented a number of changes. These include boundary changes student population changes large change from 1-parent working households to 2-parent working households. But through it all the students (and thus the school) have continued to excel. The only major concern is the lackluster leadership from the school's principal. Success happens in spite of her efforts instead of because of them. Attention from the district on that issue could have a dramatic change of morale at the school.

There are always going to be teachers or administrators that are not top-notch. Bailey is lucky to have a great principal that keeps the focus on student education. Teachers are great too but with so many there are bound to be a few that are a little below excellent. New teachers have to learn and practice. Complaining about dress-code enforement makes parents sound like children. The dress-code should be backed by every parent so as to help the staff focus on educationing the students. Bullying was dealt with quickly and effectively when my daughter was a victim. All I had to do was call the principal and she took care of it right away.

I have written 2 prior reviews but despite following all the rules this site has set for it's reviews mine continue to be pulled down! Bailey middle school DOES NOT deserve the "9" rating it has on this site. My son attended 6th grade at Bailey and was bullied on a daily basis with no help from the staff in any way. The principal and assistant principlas are there only to tell the students what color of shoe laces and shirts they can wear. My son was hounded relentlessly. I would NOT recommend this school for a dog let alone a child!

My child really liked Bailey MS. BUT my child tells me of stupid dress code rules that seem to change at a whim. What color a kids shoe laces are seems a bit ridiculous to me. Banning certain colors of clothes really limits what they can wear. But my son really seemed to like the classes and teachers except for one downright mean English teacher in 7th grade...everyone we know who had her as a teacher disliked her but of most concern was they really struggled to get decent grades in her class. I agree no one seems to like the Principle. Inconsistent rules and varying enforcement....

I was a previous student at Bailey and though there were some aspects of the school that I enjoyed overall the experience was not great. The theater teacher when I was there was excellent and very nice just like most of the teachers. My real issue was with the administration. There was a total lack of focus on education in favor of un-needed discipline. I understand the need for a safe secure school environment but it seems like they went out of their way to ensure that students were unhappy. So many kids got in trouble for wearing unusual outfits or something like that. It seems like discipline was a form of revenge for administrators unhappy with their jobs. I don't know. One of the only real issues that occurred at the school should have been disciplined was not and that is bullying. Inevitable to an extent but not that much.

I was a previous student at baily i did not like it 1 reason is because the teachers did not really plan to geather when we had a big project there was homework with it and when we say we had too much homework so we could not turn in the project it would be our fault.but i had two favorite teachers my verry bestest favrotist teacher was my 4th peroid local math teacher Mrs.Dolman and my 1st peroid drama teacher mrs baker even thoughi had a good time the 3months i was there i was still picked on and given bad grades when i deserved good grades i worked my butt off

I'm currently a student here in 8th grade and so far bailey has been ok. It hasnt been horrible but it hasnt been great either. Some of the teachers are hard on us students and are very strict which doesnt exactly help us do better. Every kid in my opinion does better when the teachers are fun nice and kind. The principal is...horrible. Everyone talks bad about her. She is strict and mean. The students here are ok but some are really stuck up and think they are better than everyone.

last year was my first year at bailey and it wasn't that great! One the principal was a jerk! She was so rude disrespectful to us students and caused great confusion to everyone! Two most of the little girls they are so stuck up love to start rumors and they think they are better than everyone else! Ugh! Three some of the teachers are just really mean! But most of em are very nice! Four the dress code is horrible! Most of the excuses for something is it's 'gang related'! You can't dye your hair 'unnatural' colors you can't wear a lot of red blue or gold. And Five a bunch of the newer kids coming I'm are rude ignorant and are want to be gangsters! The good things about the school are too many to list though. So here's one. The elective choice is one word wonderful! There are many options.

Other than the band program and dance program we found this school to be very disappointing. The teachers were good for the most part but the principal lacked in many areas. I know middle school years are the most challenging but I felt there was an overall lack of respect for the leadership in that school. My daughter made it through but we were happy to be finished there.

bailey is such a great school it is a fun learning enviroment! most of the teachers are super nice and good teachers. the only complaint i have is about the principal she is a little odd!

I have a 6th grader that just started at Bailey this year and though the teachers are great they do have a lot of 'behaviour problem' children. I hope that continues to be addressed. Their band department is amazing!

I love Bailey. This is my first year but I like it very much and am looking forward to 7th and8th grade

my child attended this school and had a wonderful experience the only bad thing i can think of about this school is that the princable sometimes cause confusion and does not have the greatest disipline policys. however both vice principles are great!
