The administration needs to protect the students more and watch over them better. The children's safety is at risk at this school.

My son went to Blattman for Kinder and 1st grade. I couldn't have been happier. Fantastic teachers friendly front office and cafeteria staff and outstanding administrators. Excellent programs projects etc bring parents and teachers together. Very good school. Sadly we moved and I miss Blattman terribly!

I agree with the other posts indicating that Blattman is a great school. The administrators are great; especially Principal Aderman and Vice Principal Gavegan. If an incident arises with your child teachers and administrators come together in order to find the best solution for your child. As for the other posts regarding this school catering the wealthy that should not be a determining factor for rating a school. The area is great and has not altered due to apartment complexes that have sprung up. In my experience the school received its rating due to the great parent involvement and parent/teacher communication. When this involvement is present it does not matter how wealthy the school s zone is and I m ashamed that was even brought up in a post.

Blattman is a terrific school! My son started attending Blattman at age 3 in the PPCD program and has been a Black Bear for 7 years now. He is no longer in Spec Ed but I contribute his wonderful success to Daria Tobasko who was his speech therapist until earlier this year. She is amazing as are ALL the teachers administrators and staff that work there. In response to a previous comment about this being a school for the rich it is true that initially the neighborhoods that feed into this school only represented mid to high-income families but there are now 5 apartment complexes that also feed into the school. Regardless the administrators and teachers have high expectations of all students and educate support and value all of their students equally. I cannot express my gratitude to the teachers & Spec Ed staff for helping my son excel in school. We moved just outside of the school boundary for one year resulting in my son having to attend another school. Even though that school was also good my son insisted on returning to Blattman because he missed it so much. He said "It's in my blood" because he loves it so much!! He loves it and so do I.

I have not had a single regret since choosing to send my daughter to Blattman. She's attended kinder there and now first grade. The principal and vice-principal are outstanding and so far the teachers she has had have been excellent. Everyone is so welcoming and personable and my daughter comes home from school happy every day. Blattman has an excellent overall reputation and the academics are top notch! It's also a beautiful school and has an unbelievable PTA organization.

What a sad comment to say or think that Blattman is a school for the wealthy. Blattman should be teaching acceptance of all children not perpetuating an elete attitude. How does this equate to a score of 10?

Blattman is a lovely school and an exemplary learning environment. The teachers here are caring watchful and encouraging. The principal and vice principal are always in he middle of everything from big events right down to greeting the students and parents as we walk into the school. Great PTA also! has great parental involvement which I am proud to be a part o.

Blattman is a fabulous learning environment! I've a student that is successfully navigating Middle School thanks to a great foundation built at Blattman...including academic and social responsibility. The teachers and staff are very supportive of the students parents are active in the education process and the kids seem to thrive in this environment. Blattman is a beautiful school inside and out!

Thank you to the parent who posted the comment about Blattman not being a school just for the wealthy. What kind of example does it teach our children when parents make negative comments like these? Yes it's great that Blattman had a recognized principal but there are many educators that are not awarded with these type of awards who make a huge difference in our kids' lives. Blattman is a wonderful school that consists of dedicated staff teachers kids and parents. I am very fortunate that my child is part of the Blattman family.

Blattman has been a great school for my daughter in Kinder and 1st grade. She is now entering 2nd. They rotate to PE twice a week music art adn computers. The school is very new and also a good size and full of great families. It has strong parental involvement. I'm very pleased and feel lucky that Blattman is our home school.
