Christ the Rock Christian Academy is now celebrating 20 years of excellence in Christian education! Enrollment is 110 K3 Gr. 8. The school's leadership and staff take a vested interest in every aspect of the child's life academic spiritual emotional social and behaviorial. The computer lab and library have been updated. A new reading curriculum Reading Street is challenging students to read and think critically and creatively. We have three new staff members for a total of 20 faculty and staff. All students have opportunities to grow not only in the classroom but in Specialty Classes Spanish P.E. Art Computer and Library. It is a place where students feel safe secure and energized to do their best work. We are thankful for our past accomplishments and look forward to a bright future!

Christ The Rock Christian Academy is a student centered educational institution. Offering a well rounded curriculum with individualized attention given to students by highly qualified passionate and caring instructor. This school emphasizes academic excellence by causing students to think beyond the day and conceptualize their future as they obtain foundational teaching. Shaping the leaders of tomorrow with solid principals imparted from a progressive and experienced staff makes for a global model in education is why this is a five star school. An improvement would be advertising their school to allow more parents to enroll their children.

Awesome environment where student thrive because of the non-threatening environment. Curriculum consistent with other private and public schools but exceeds in customer service and student connection.

Our school is the BEST school in Memphis. I love that the classrooms are kept small so that each child can receive the attention and direction needed to excel. Every teacher makes you feel welcomed and its just a great big family at CTRCA.

Christ the Rock Christian Academy is a premier school! My children have attended for several years and we have been very pleased with the curriculum and high standards. The Principal Educators and staff are passionate about ensuring that the scholars receive the very best education and foundation both spiritually and academically. Christ the Rock is truly one of Memphis' best kept secrets in education!!!

Christ the Rock Christian Academy is an excellent institution of learning for young minds. The administration and staff work closely together to develop the children for consistent academic success and global competitiveness in all curriculums. The environment is small today but it strongly encourages and promotes high ethic standards and a solid moral character. I am extremely proud that my children have attended the school for 7 years and counting and appreciate the collaboration that exist between the parents administration and the teachers in the rearing of the young my children. I encourage parents who are interested in a learning institution that is focused on the childs "educational development" as well as their personal developement/character to consider CTRCA.

I have never been more sure that Christ the Rock is the school for my children. My children are learning at excellerated rates and loving every moment of it. The principal and staff are great and I highly recommend this school to others.

This school has been exceptional. The children love it and are learning agressively. There is a loving atmosphere and the A Beka curriculum challenges the children in positive ways. The staff is great and supportive.

Since my children have been going to Christ the Rock they have been learning at accelerated rates. They retain so much and are excited about school. The principal and staff are attentive to the children and parents and try to make sure every need is met.

This school is just as bad as Memphis City and County Schools. On several occasions they applied my childs payments to the wrong account and called me at home and work several times threatening to throw my child out of school for non-payment. Its almost impossible to contact any other staff other than the two ladies in the front office. The school seems very unstable. My child has attended for 3 years and will not be returning for a 4yr. I think that there are other schools within this same price range that are TWO times better. Don't stop looking here its not worth the money.

This schools falls behind the county schools cirriculum. The staff is very unprofessional. The director doesn't have a clue and she never returns calls. They have a few good teachers. However given the money we spent on tuition aftercare and meals you would think that all of the teachers would be excellent and have degrees. This is suppose to be a private school not public school.

My child has attended CTRCA since pre-K. Now she's in the Second grade. She loves it and the teachers are excellent. It's money well invested.

I attended CTR since Pre K and I think it was an acceptional learning environement. I know attend another school for my eigth-gradde year. I am a straight A student in all AP courses available. The school has its issues however just like every other on. Unfortunately the 7th and 8th grade classes were. MLMJ.

My son has attended ctrca since prek 4. All I can say is the teachers are caring and give the individual attention needed to each student. I look forward to my son attending this school through the eighth grade. He will be in the second grade fy08-09.

I think Christ the Rock is a good school but I agree that they fall behind with middle school students. They don't have ACT/SAT workshops updated technology for computer labs science labs nor other resources that you find at public/private schools in town. Parents have become aware of the problem & started changing schools after elementary. At least that makes individual attention more possible because there are less than 9 students per middle school grade. Mrs. Swihart the principal is a sweetheart. I attend the church and I support the Academy; but it could use an overhaul.

My 3 children went to CTRCA through 8th grade and then transferred to a county high school. Each of them had a 3.5 gpa or higher and I know CTRCA prepared them for high school and beyond. They made friends with their peers and their teachers. The ABeka curriculum gave them a strong foundation. We would do it all over again because of the great experience we had.

I am so disappointed with CTRCA. First I'll say that I think the school is fine for elementary students;but they should consider closing the middle school. Good points The children can feel safe at school. The teacher-student ratio is very low. Easy communication with teachers & principal. Bad points More teaching about hell & damnation than preparation for college. Students face academic failure on standardized tests and are not prepared for high school. MANY of the top students at CTRCA struggle at other schools. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE PAST 4th GRADE. Its worth the extra money to choose a well-equipped private school.
