Sidney High School has amazing academic programs - more than 20 dual enrollment courses 9 advanced placement courses in addition to a number of college and career preparatory classes. Most impressive the Academia team is ranked in the top 25 in the nation and top 5 in the state of Ohio! If your child is dedicated to learning SHS staff will ensure they get the best education possible!

Sidney schools suck in general. Look at their state rating. Too many delinquents and unmotivated students and teachers.Way too many administrative personnel. I pulled my child and put her into county school.

Sidney High School has an amazing staff great leadership and outstanding students! I am proud to be a Sidney Yellow Jacket and know I would not have had the life experiences I have had if it weren't for the teachers that guided me along in my grade school years always pushing me to excel.

Sidney High offers many after school programs in sports and music. It annually received more college scholarship funding than any near by school. Those students planning on college are offered many AP classes in Math English Physics and Chemistry. My college bound students all received academic honors and scholarship money thanks to the excellent teaching offered at Sidney High.

Sidney Highschool has many pros as well as cons. Not all the teachers in the school are of top notch... Some of them even ignore the students and use their cellphones during class. However the German Class Algrebra 2 Class and the Music and art Programs are wonderful. Our English and most of our history classes are also decent. People who attend Sidney are from a wide range of economic and cultural lifestyles. Which means the school must meet many different types of needs. It doesn't always have the resources to do this but the school trys its best. Both advanced placement and general classes are offered to students. The advanced classes usually are quite good but the general classes do not encourage advancement in students... Those classes only get a child to graduation. These classes are also quite chaotic.

Sidney has great academic programs but uses students absences to lower grades which effects their academics. Other discipline measures need to be considered.
