My 5 year old daughter has been at Phoenix Ranch 3 years my youngest daughter is just beginning preschool here as well. The teachers (both in the Preschool and Elementary) care so much about the kids their education and their overall wellbeing. My 5 year old is reading on her own after only 5 months of Kindergarten. The atmosphere of the school is so loving and friendly everyone knows everyone and is always smiling and saying hello. The parent helpers and teachers aides in the already small classrooms really adds to the experience the children always feel encouraged and supported. Having a child with special medical needs can be difficult in a school setting and very unnerving for the parent but I have not once experienced a negative attitude toward my daughter's medical needs they have been so accommodating and the office staff as well as Mrs. Aguilar Mrs. Shultz and all of the support staff have gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter has a great school experience. There are security guards at the gate watching over the school. This is a school that listens to the parents feedback and takes action to improve. I am so grateful for this beautiful school!

I am very impressed with this school. It has been such a huge help in building an amazing foundation for my son. He was attending one of our public middle schools and had a horrible experience. The school was not for him - he has thrived as a student under the middle school and is being equipped with the needed skills for senior high and college. He is an honors student under their instruction. The issues I read of bully problems are not fair as my son tells me what happens and how problems are resolved. He was a victim of being put down in public school & is very sensitive to these issues. The other post about the school being bad - due to a dress code is funny - since all uniform policies are disclosed in advance - I wonder what message we send our children when we encourage them to break the rules or not take them serious (a real problem in our world today). I am thankful for the school & the open door policy of the administration to hear concerns & address them right away. I would encourage any parent who is not sure to spend time trying to actually roll up their sleeves and work with children as a coach or educator & not oversimplify perceived solutions! - Proud Dad.

Absolutely love this school. My daughter has been attending since she was 3. One of the few preschools willing to take on a child with a medical disorder and they've continued their great care on into elementary. While bullying does exist they are quick to address it. Great class sizes as well.

We found Phoenix Ranch by researching schools for our son who would be starting kindergarten and came across Phoenix Ranch. After touring the school we knew that our son would excel at Phoenix Ranch. The staff was so helpful with registration and we got to meet the teacher my son would have to make him feel a little better when it came time for the first day of school. This is our 3rd year at The Phoenix Ranch and I can't imagine us at another school my son is exceling and has learned so much with the small class size and dedicated teachers. The school is always looking to improve and keep up with technology it seems that every cent that is made is put back into the school. We love the extra curriculum classes offered like Spanish art music and P.E. I love all of the teacher parent feedback if I have a questions for my child's teacher I can easily email her and she gets back to me in a timely manner. I also love the engrade system which allows me to look at my son's grade every single day. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about The Phoenix Ranch it is not only a school for our son but it feels as a small community of family.

This is a great school if you have a child who is an accelerated learner or one who needs extra attention. The communication between teachers and parents is phenomenal. The office staff is genuinely nice and knows all parents by their first names. The founder and co-founder/principal are visible on campus greeting children and parents and wishing them well. The school offers summer and winter camps and staffs these camps with enthusiastic committed and energetic counselors. The school has high expectations of its students but provides the students with everything they need academically to not only meet those expectations but to surpass them as well. We are fortunate that this gem of a school is here in Simi Valley and that our fair city has private academic institutions that are still affordable. This school is THE choice for parents who are at all concerned about the quality of their child's education and whether or not their child is being adequately prepared for higher learning. We feel honored and blessed to have our children be a part of this student body. Thank you Phoenix Ranch!

We are thrilled with our experience thus far with Phoenix Ranch after pulling her from another local private school. We could not have made a better decision to enroll our daughter. She is in the Pre-K program and absolutley loves it. The staff is extemely friendly helpful and loving. The classrooms are clean and organized. It warms our hearts when our daughter comes home and is playing with her toys and she starts singing songs that she has learned at school. "Make a circle.. make a circle 1 . 2 . 3 . All my friends are here with me" As a full time working husband and wife we can go to work with peace of mind knowing our daughter is in good hands safe and in an enriching environment. We love Phoenix Ranch - Happy Parents )

I am saddened by the comments regarding bullying at our school. To the parent who has a child currently attending The Phoenix Ranch I encourage you to please contact me and let me assist you. As a parent and an educator for over 30 years I see the pain that is caused when a child is excluded or in other ways bullied. Our faculty and staff are caring qualified teachers who work daily to educate students and hold those students accountable when they misbehave. Our school follows a protocol where bullying is confronted and the student being bullied is assisted. We use a behavior contract to make clear our expectations. The contract states that continued poor behavior could result in suspension or expulsion; but our mission is always education including character education. Our school participates in the Character Counts program to draw attention and focus on important aspects of good character. I am so sorry for the sadness felt by these two families and will carefully listen to any suggestions or concerns that they wish to discuss. Amy Brown Phoenix Ranch School Principal

My kids went to this school for several years. The education is very good. The school is well cared for and has lots of great programs. It's a shame because It was really good for a while but now they have a bully problem and some kids are bullied very bad. The school does not take it seriously and I was told it would happen anywhere we went but that was not the case. My children are thriving in their new school and no longer crying on a daily basis about the constant bullying that would go on at this school. Shame on Phoenix Ranch for not putting the kids safety first. They need to take a class on how to deal with bullies. Forcing the kids to confront the bullies is never going to make it better only going to get the kids hurt worse. Too bad

My child is currently at this school and they are having a bully issue. It doesn't seem to happen to all the kids just the ones that are a little different for one reason or another but if the administration refuses to see the issue it will never improve. It's a very nice school but if the kids are afraid to be there it's no good.

After hearing wonderful things about the phoenix ranch school and after my own relentless research i recently enrolled my child. The ENTIRE staff from the diligent security guards to the caring patient office staff the enthusiastic and creative camp counselors and directors and the experienced and dedicated teachers all guided by the hands-on equally enthusiastic incredibly intelligent owners and principal have all been beyond amazing. Their attention to all the families both personal and professional is impressive. The family atmosphere and their precise priority of academics complimented by the enrichment of the arts and sciences is the magnetic draw of this most exceptional establishment.

This school is a great school to go to and it's fun and they teach u a lot. You wouldn't have one on one if u went to a public school. I think this school is the best school!!!

We went to Pinecrest School and it was nice for a few years. Too much turnover on staff. Phoenix Ranch has only 11 students per teacher and the staff is mostly from teachers who have been there for 5 or more years and much more in some cases. They have many options for students and parents and really keep everyone involved as if the parents were part of the community. They have an open door policy and rely on volunteers with the proper experience to assist when possible. We are about to begin our second year and could not ask for a better situation. I believe when you are seeing that they communicate with you on a daily basis you know they care and are on top of things. They also have Sports Music and other extra activity classes available which most take advantage of. I have been a teacher of Sports for many years at the public and private Schools from elementary to High School and this is a very comforting and warm School. Oh and by the way They also love suggestions and really do use them when applicable and is of help. AAA +++ Thanks RA

The school is a joke why can't my kid wear black socks or volt colored Nikes. Families here want to talk about the school a few blocks down but they have no rules about black socks or bright color shoes. In fact the other school has great coaches and they are very nice it seems we are blinded by the Phoenix way. Sorry for speaking my mind but this school is not prefect and needs to get out of the Stone Age

Our Daughter has attended Phoenix Ranch since she was 3 years old in preschool. She is now going into 4th grade. When she was going into 1st grade we decided to try going to a public school in Oak Park to save some money I'm sure some families going to Phoenix have thought about at one time or another. We lasted 2 1/2 years and it was miserable for our daughter. They put in "Resource Learning" for math because she was falling behind and with class sizes of 27-35 the teacher did not have time to help her. Needless to say winter break of her 3rd grade year we made the decision to come back to Phoenix for our daughter Socially and Academically! She is now getting a "B" in Math!! THANKS to her wonderful teacher spending some time with her after school at NO ADDITIONAL COST! Funny thing is the material that she is learning now at Phoenix are further advanced then what some of her friends are learning at her old school! We have found that EVERY TEACHER AND EVERY STAFF MEMBER is extremely DEDICATED and TRULY cares that NO CHILD is Left Behind! When we came back our daughter was welcomed back like she was never gone. We were ment to be at Phoenix Ranch and it is our HOME! THANK YOU!!!!!

This is a wonderful school. The teachers are very caring. This is now the 3rd school we have been to and by far the best! My son is thriving there. He is very happy and that makes me happy.

I remember the day I went to see this school and immediately signed both of my kids up. The best decision I have ever made about their well being while I am at work as well as the best education I can give them. Every single staff member treats my children so well and the teachers are top notch. The enrichment programs are wonderful and varied so we get to do different things throughout the year. Their music teacher is amazing - her energy and devotion to the kids is phenomenal. I decided to be a room parent and work on a committee that helps fund raise for the school and was able to see the "behind the scenes" and what I saw and heard just made me more proud to be apart of this school for my kids. This is the kind of place you need to see it yourself. The reviews are just the tip of the ice berg. It is a private school with tuition fees but they are comparable to all private schools in the area and for what you get there really is no comparison. If you are not happy in the public setting I promise you this school will not disappoint. Its worth it.

The campus is beautiful and uplifting. The environment is clean happy and caring. Families here welcome newcomers. Ive been in volunteer meetings listening to the soft and kind ways of the preschool teachers when they didn't know we were listening. The incredible office personnel know and care for every family here. Ive seen what goes on behind the scenes and I'm very impressed! The directors have given birth to this school. Its their baby and they care for it as such. They've carefully molded and shaped it through the years. They have put their heart and souls into it and it shows. There is only one campus so my money stays in my school benefiting my child. I'm paying the same price (if not lower than) other private schools for an amazing education including Singapore Math and Super Kids along with P.E art music science and Spanish. I can see a difference in our Children a daily happiness and glow that every parent dreams of. Thank you Phoenix Ranch!!!

I feel you are all blinded and brained washed by this school. They teach there students to be rude and disrespectful when they travel to other schools. Not only are there students rude there AD is horrible they encourage parents to be rude at sporting events and when the AD is called on to step in and inter vein he will say no no there not with our school. First of all there academics are a joke they say we offer Singapore math and when you look through the math book it's nothing special it's your basic math with a fancy cover. My kids left there because the staff was rude to him and his sister. My family friends who paid in full regret ever going there after leaving there former school in simi valley. Reason being is there son was called stupid by staff members. Now do you really want to send your kids to that school because now knowing how it is run I wouldn't even send my dogs there!!!
