Principal told my kindergarten - child after school while he was waiting in line to get on the bus that if he would have listen to the other children (to stop singing) he wouldn't have gotten his face slammed into the brick wall by three other students. Although after I showed her pictures of his face bruised she wrote the other three students up. What A DA. Child in 3rd got stung on the belly by a bee I was never notified a day later swelling across entire belly and teacher said it was a thorn from the grass and claims it was on the opposite side of his body. Like dealing with TWO children when it comes to having to listen to my child and his teacher s side. Principal backs teacher s side even when obviously in the wrong. These only two of the more severe incidences out of several looking to switch schools. School is closing thank GOD hopefully that principal will not be given another position in Sioux Falls. For everyone else s children s sake. Unfortunately a very new/young teacher hopefully will learn to teach better!

Jefferson gives the children a sense of family while they are learning. The faculty is great and the pta works hard to serve the school. Overall its a great place for kids to learn and get an education.
