Not enough support for special needs children. No one there seems to haves any knowledge as to what kids with disabilaaties need. Nothing is inplace to help them. They go from class to class but for many of them this is too difficult. There are to many teachers for one child. They are not able to adjust to the individual needs or maybe they don't want to. I think the school sould have at least one person who understands the needs of disabled children. Something needs to be put in place. Right now there is nothing.

I have been very happy with the teachers at BWMS. My son recently finished 8th grade and my daughter finished 6th. I emailed several of their teachers at year end to thank them. Many but not all were very involved in making sure my kids were challenged. They truly seemed to care.
I proudly send my kids here. Great academics and extra-curricular activities!
Big Walnut Middle School is grades 6-8. The school has gotten a new principal this year who is actively involved in the school's acheivment. The teachers there are some of the best and their main objective is the succession of the students. If your child is having a problem that concerns you every teacher in that school will take an active part in helping your child succeed. The district is rated very high and the schools do live up to those ratings.
We have been in the school district since my son started school. He is now in 7th we have throughly enjoyed this school. The teachers are very dedicated and my son is getting an excellent education.
