We are very happy with The French American School of Silicon Valley. The children are engaged with their curriculum and thriving in the classroom. We are so impressed by the kindness of the director his knowledge energy and compassion. The arts program is outstanding. Our little one is excited about going to school. We appreciate the international flavor and immersion into the French language. We highly recommend this outstanding school.

Besides being a bilingual school FASSV offers a wonderful multicultural education with families originating from all over the world. The curriculum is well balanced between French and English which allow graduating students to easily transfer to either an all French or all English middle school. The math level is excellent and the school also holds a strong curriculum in Art Science Music and Technology. Parents participation is appreciated for fieldtrips and special events. In comparison with my son s new school I can safely say that FASSV is not one of these private schools that are constantly reaching for your wallet. We had a great experience with FASSV and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nurturing yet challenging environment.

If you want to waste around $15.000 a year into a school and be dissatisfied go for it. Math level in higher grades isn t taught properly and make the transition to middle school challenging. Your child won t be fluent in French after 5 years there. No one takes seriously care of the conflicts between kids. Administration refuses to listen to the concerns of the parents and has the attitude you take it or you leave . Kids are left boiling in a building with tiny small AC during hot summer days while the 3 people of the administration are comfortably installed in a large building with powerful AC. Communication system is outdated. Staff relatively friendly but not motivated. I was very disappointed with this school. This is one of the most expensive ones in the Valley but doesn t live up to expectations. I would not recommend it at all.

FASSV offers a bilingual education small classes and a well-thought out curriculum. The teachers are excellent - very motivated and experienced. They will come to know your child very well and will make sure he/she is challenged. There is a good balance between french and english - most children could probably comfortably transfer to an all french or all english school at any point. Parents are very involved sometimes perhaps too much so and I have seen the occasional struggle between parents and the administration. It's for the good of the students though and I wholeheartedly recommend FASSV.
