I am grandparent of a child at this school and the comments I am reading are very shocking! I pick up my grandbaby every day and am a very critical grandma as I was in the education business for many years. Every day when I pick up the teachers are extremely wonderful and the office staff is friendly. My grandbaby loves being at school and sometimes it is hard to get her to leave. I can't speak for everyone but my experiences here have more than exceeded my expectations!

CAUTION DO NOT send your innocent child to this school. Teachers are not what they seem. They spend most of their time yelling loudly to children so loud that several students are terrified and are seen covering their ears and rocking back and forth to comfort themselves. I watched a teacher's aid nearly elbow a child just because he patted her to try and get her attention. The teachers are obviously not enjoying their job and they take it out on the children. Students do not feel safe and are not learning.

There are better options in the area. I agree with one of the parents below they fall short of the claims they make to have the best program etc and the food is dismal at best. Other schools in the are offer fresh produce not canned and processed options. The office staff is not sincere and does not have every child's best interest in mind. My daughter was there for 4 yrs my son for 1 yr and I have pulled them both out. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

My son has been at Primrose Tampa Palms since he was 6 months old in the infant room. We have been there over a year now; he is currently in the older toddler room. He loves going to school everyday. I have to credit Primrose for helping him reach his milestones. Everyday he is surprises my husband and I with what he has learned. He has moved up to his classes with friends he has had since the infant room; they have so much fun together. You are not going to like everything about a place - some staff are better then others but that doesn't make anything bad about Primrose. I can go to work each day knowing my son is in above quality care. Food and milk is provided throughout the day; my son isn't old enough to tell me if he likes it or not but he doesn't come home starving. They provide a balance variety of meals each day. My son needs daily breathing treatments twice a day and Primrose is happy and willing to help me with that. I couldn't be happier with my choice of daycare. I look forward to watching my son (and possible future children) grow at Primrose of Tampa Palms.

I'm so thankful a girlfriend recommended Primrose. We've been there for a few months now and my husband and I couldn't be happier. I wasn't sure I wanted to go back to work but I decided to give it a try. In the end it was worth it. Overall my daughter is happy gets her group interaction and I can work without worrying about her. I can't ask for much more than that.

The previous review sounds like a disgruntled employee who now works at another school. my child has been at Primrose for 3 years and my oldest daughter attended for almost 4 years. We could not be happier! No school is perfect and you have to understand that these are human beings that are teaching your children not robots. Primrose has given both of my children an education that is better than anything I could have asked for. This is not a day care it is a private school. I love that my children have always loved coming to school! I think it's unfair to post harsh statements about a school without them being able to post an answer to that statement. As a happy parent I feel like it's my duty to speak on their behalf.

Worst daycare in the area. Took my 1 year old son out after a week. He came home with 12 fire ant bites all over his legs. They left him crying on the grass while the kids were outside and didn't bother to check on him. He's now at Discovery Point in Lutz. and been very happy ever since.

I had hoped that this would be a good school for my daughter who has been going there since she was a little more than 1 year old. While some of the teachers are great and clearly love their jobs most like this are gone within a few months and the ones they stay are those with children there. Generally very high staff turn-over. The problem really is a general lack of caring about education and fostering creativity or an interest in learning. There just simply are not enough teachers in each room for the work they are required to do which leaves little time for one on one with students. Sure it is better than some places but for the price and the claims they make it falls very short of meeting expectations. The food is dismal and cheap and my child hates most of the lunches there and they give no option to pack lunches for your child unless they are on a MD certified "organic diet". The rooms are dull and are hardly decorated for/by the students. There are better places in the area get on a waiting list and go elsewhere.

Our son started Primrose when he was an infant and has been here ever since. He will be attending thier VPK program this year. I can not imagine sending him anywhere else at this point. The staff is increadably helpful to the children and families. The educators are more than qualified and actually want to be there. Communication with staff is excellent you get all kinds of feedback in regards to your childrens progress. When my son started he had learned baby sign language within just a few months I can not tell you how helpful that was. They have a balanced lunch menu and snacks and cater to each childs special nutricional needs (i.e lactos intolerance). the office staff owner are all excellent as well and truelly care about the care your children recieve. I am quite nervous for when he has to leave for another school since Primrose has set the bar so high. They truely are the best!!

Really appreciate all the communication we receive about our child's experience and day. He loves going to school and is learning and having fun. Management team and teachers very friendly and professional. We moved from another state and feel lucky to have a great school such as this in our community.

Both of my kids currently attend this school and I can't speak highly enough about our experience there. From the infant room all the way through VPK we have had a wonderful experience. The infant room teachers have always been so caring which makes taking them each day much easier on my heart. My son has learned so much over the years and is so bright and I owe a large part of that to the school and how he's being taught. I feel confident that both my kids will be well prepared for elementary school when they start. No school is perfect but anytime there has even been a small issue the staff was quick to address it and worked with us to come to an understanding. I have recommended this school to alot of coworkers and friends.

I would wear a huge sign all day for this school if I could as I am a fan of all things Primrose - the curriclum staff/management teaching style facility layout healthy alternative menu options...I could even give praise to the interior paint colors! Both of my children attended Primrose and were promoted based on their academic progress and maturity level not simply their ages. As a result when my oldest son eventually enrolled in public school he was so well prepared he was accepted into the gifted program (and his younger brother is on the same path). But equally important as their outstanding academic preparation is the loving care shown towards the students and their families. I strongly encourage other parents to climb aboard the Primrose train!

As a professor at USF my child has been enrolled at Primrose School of Tampa Palms for almost three years. We have been very pleased with the quality of teaching staff and the progress our son has made. We would highly recommend this school.

My 4 month old child attended this school for one month in December 2010. I was VERY DISPLEASED with this Primrose school. On my daughter's first day of school she turned blue during her nap and the teacher notified the director and I was never notified. When I picked her up the teacher notified me of the occurrence and stated that they think it was the lighting in the room or it was too cold and that when they touched my daughter she woke up and her color returned to her face. The older teachers spoke Spanish and little English. The teachers also had their favorite children that they would hold more often than others. I was asked by the teachers to place her in her crib when I arrived which is not Primrose policy in regards to greeting children as they enter the classrooms. All my bottle nipples were cut without my permission. The family pictures that we supplied to them were never returned to us when we transferred locations They asked me to return to pick her artwork and when I returned they were no where to be found. So I have moved my daughter Land O Lakes and she seems to be happier and excited to be at school

Wrong choice for parents/children. Teachers speak broken English. My child did not learn anything much from them. It is not worth money $210/wk if you have to be the one to do most of teachings at home.

My child has been in the infant room for a couple of months and so far we are very pleased with Primrose. There is a weekly curriculum and the children have fun with art projects and do stimulating crafts I would never have thought of doing with an infant. The infant teachers are amazing women! Each week a newsletter is sent home with the upcoming week's curriculum highlights for physical development social development language and creative arts. Sign language is also practiced and encouraged at home. The teachers work with each child's individual needs. Ours hated tummy time and is now taking naps on her belly thanks to the infant teachers. The The Director is wonderful and immediately addressed a few issues we had in the beginning. The staff is very friendly. I'd definitely recommend Primrose Tampa Palms for infant care.
