My daughter goes here and all the teachers and staff do a Wonderful job maintaining a safe and friendly environment for the children. I am very impressed with the positive involvement from the teachers and staff at Vail. Especially Mrs. Layton. Great job crew!

We have been sending our children to Vail Ranch for 3 years now. They staff really does go above and beyond. Trude in the main office is such a wonderful ambassador to the families. She makes an effort to treat every one with respect and kindness. After several years bouncing from school to school this has been the best. The special education program is top noch! Also they have an amazing garden where the kids learn about different plants and get to try new veritables. I will be sad when we move next year and leave Pauba.

If you can get your child into another elementary school in Temecula do it! Our family did not have a good experience there. My daughter was there briefly for kinder before being transferred. From what I can tell it is a problem rooted deeply from the top down. Just go into the office at random times - no one ever smiles. It is a reflection of the attitudes of many of the people we encountered during our brief stay. We are now at another elementary nearby and we loooove it because they value relationships!

Vail is the best Elementary School ever! My daughter attended Vail from 2nd to 5th grade and my son currently goes to Vail as well. He started there in K and is now in 2nd I refuse to move anywhere because it is the best school. All of the staff is kind giving and understanding! They support our children with everything they have to give to them!!!

Mr. Fenney and Mr. Bantle are awesome. All the office staff nurse and Mr. Tom are super great people.

Vail is the best because they really care about all the students. Teachers give personal attention and time to each student and always keep parents in the loop. There are many activities and programs to keep the kids interested in reading writing and physical fitness.

I agree...This school is awesome...My son also had Mrs. Langton this year...She is great!! The PTA is awesome as well as the whole admin staff!! In speaking with another parent she summed it up with a great comparison...'The school is like a little piece of Mayberry.'

This School Is The Best !!!! My son had Mrs. Langton this year. If you can get your child in her class DO IT! She loves what she does and her students prove it! The Principles are amazing and care about every aspect of their school. Parent involvement is amazing. The PTA was wonderful. There are always activities for students and family's to be involved in. The Meet The Masters art program was a fun and educational. The school and surrounding neighborhood is always safe and clean. With out a doubt this school is worth 100 stars out of 10 ! I could never say enough about this truly amazing school.

I have two children attending Vail K and 1st grade and we absolutely love it. Both of my daughters have fantastic teachers and there is a huge emphasis on instilling a love of reading which really is the foundation of a well-educated child. The location is great too- on a quiet neighborhood street away from any major intersections so I always feel very safe walking them to and from school.

I have been at Vail for 4 years now and I am a bit shocked at some of these comments. This is an amazing school with incredible teachers and staff. The principal is very 'hands on' and plays a huge role in making our school so great! We just received the honor of being a California Distinguished School last year for the 3rd time! This is the highest honor a school can receive! Our school has a family feel to it. I am one of many parents who are very involved at Vail. The PTA is a huge part of this school and offers many great assemblies and family events. I am truly blessed to have found this school!

This is not a good school for special needs children. They are an ok school for average children.

I was a bit frustrated when my children attended here. The administration wasn't responsive to concerns and unlike some other local schools parents are not permitted to have a say in who their child's teacher will be. My older daughter did have some fantastic teachers all of whom have left the school if that says anything. The stronger teachers get hired on to new schools in the area which means that the best teachers eventually leave and the weaker teachers stay because they don't get hired at new schools. I have felt unwelcomed there on many accounts.

Parents Any school in Temecula Valley School District is a total gift to your child but Vail is even better than that. If you have any hesitation/trepidation about this school don't. The entire staff and teachers are first notch. I cannot say enough nice things about this school. The teachers are excellent the facility is awesome & the parent involvement is extremely high here. The students are always taught that they are first. My son went here for 3 years and we had moved from Florida so this was a big adjustment. I could not be happier about where he attended Elementary School! Scale of 1-10? An 11!

I am not happy with all of these new teachers! I understand that it takes time to get aquainted but the way all of the other teachers have handled things in the past (both children enrolled since kindergarden) there was alot more parent/teacher communication. The teachers my children have now (both are new)have been patronizing rude over confidant and pompous. I am not pleased AT ALL!!! Maybe I am just use to the wonderful teachers that my children have had in the past which seemed to have had all the same commucation ethics. I am ready to pull my children out of Vail next year! I do want to add a positive and that is to the principal you are doing a great job taking over I know it must be difficult having all these new staff members.

Just recieved your email about technology at this school. Yes there may be 3 computers per student here but they are not being used. Budget cuts have eliminated that person's position or rather put that teacher back into a classroom. Sorry except for a very short time during library (once a week) and possibly very little time in their class (one per room) students don't really have access to the computers. Parents will need to teach this skill at home. Unfortunately since this is a Title One school for many of the children that attend this school this is not an option.

The best information I can provide about this school is that it is a 'targeted' school; which means they have a program in action for underachievers and they establish their testing and curriculum upon that general population (which means the high API scores are contributed by the overachievers). This form of education hurts accellerated children and holds them back. This school doesn't authorize higher grade testing for children who are clearly capable to move on. At best some of the schools teachers and staff are cooperative and nice; others project a less than professional relationship with you regarding your child. The principal doesn't authorize field trips unless it's in conjunction with a subject of study and includes extensive background research. I will be homeschooling instead next year!
