I have two children who attend Grand Canyon Prep. For several years running I have found this school to be wonderful. The teachers are deeply involved with the parents. If there is anything I need to be aware of I immediately receive a call and/or an email. Being a person who attended school through to my doctorate I really wished to find a school that my children would feel welcome at and would be challenged at but also enjoy. I did not want my children to go to one of the local schools with an enormous student population. Along with not wanting my children to be lost in the shuffle at a large school I wanted my children to attend a school with diversity. All of my desired have been fulfilled at this school. My children have very different needs from each other and I feel both of them are being served very well at GCP. My children have both noted that there are "no bullies" at this school. I believe this is a reflection of the compassionate leadership at GCP. A special thank you to Mr. Gordon for his hard work in making this school what it is and also for his kindness towards all of the students.

My child had always been a top student who loved school. When we moved to Gilbert she had a 4.2 GPA had exceeded on all four portions of the AIMS on her first attempt and her national standardized test scores put her above the 96th Percentile. When we read about the school online she was quite excited about its dual-enrollment program. The principal made clear to us that it was high performing school (test-score wise) and made it out to be a perfect fit. Upon starting school my child was immediately displeased. I thought it was just a case of new school anxiety but this quickly proved to not be the case. She loved her fellow students yet described her classes as Kindergarten-level (despite of straight A's) and came home every night begging to switch schools. One night she showed me her classwork and I realized she was not exaggerating . I looked up the school's test scores which turned out to be much lower than the principal quoted. We immediately changed schools but as she was so far behind Gilbert HS she got her only D of HS. This disqualified her from two separate full-ride scholarships (AIMS and Lumberjack). I highly recommend Grand Canyon Prep. The curriculum is outstanding and the teachers are fabulous. I have worked at several other schools and I know how we compare. We work hard the students work hard. We learn and they learn. What more could you ask?

small school with small classes. the do not put up with bullies not doing homework. The teachers care and take interest in each student. Parents are asked to be part of their kids process of learning. Fun activities and homework class after school. 8 to 3 30 school and homework club with a teacher and the principal is always there to help. 3 30 to 5pm. The offer music lessons lego robotics tutoring soccer debate team. Awesome place my child is very happy here. Our child is very excited to go to school with his friends from 6th grade to 12 grade. The bigger kids really do play a role model for the younger ones here. Everyone really works on getting along. Of course their will always be on or two. But here it gets worked out quickly. it smooth sailing for a safe clean learning environment.

We enrolled our daughter at James Madison preparatory school down the street because we like smaller classes. Many many promises went unfulfilled. We didn't even know our daughter was having issues until the report cards came out. she was even failing 2 classes. We worked tirelessly with our daughter. More Promises unfulfilled by the school. no student falls through the cracks? We left. After 1 year at Grand Canyon prep. Our daughter is on the honor roll with her lowest grade being a b. Since enrolling at this wonderful school our daughter has blossomed. She loves the school we love this school.

Both of my children attend GCP. We absolutely love it. We appreciate everything from the dedicated teachers to the small warm school environment to the challenging academics. We are so happy to be a part of this wonderful school environment.

Excellent engaged and proactive teachers and staff. GCP has strong leadership and challenging courses and programs. There is visible improvment in my child's education and interactivity with the school and staff.

I think this a great school. Wonderful teachers and staff. Excellent leadership. Too much homework sometimes.

This is probably the best school my son has attended. Classes are small subjects include languages such as Japanese. I think he is challenged just enough! Staff is great; they are caring responsive and are just great teachers! We feel fortunate to have found this school.

This school is great. The class size is smaller than other schools. Most classes are about 10-17 people at Grand canyon Prepatory academy.(GCP) Yes the classes are harder but thats a plus if anything because you learn more that way.I am personally a student and I will be at this school for a while longer. The teachers are funny and they can help you at almost any time due to small classes. This is just and overall great school.

I am impressed with this school. My son has done very well and is happy there. Small class sizes and excellent teacher make for good results. My only regret is that with a school this size Physical education and sports are minimal.

You have no idea how great this school has been for my boys in both their academics as well as their confidence. This school has been a great influence on my children to want to do better as well as give them hope of going to college.

The dual diploma program is very exciting to me. Students can graduate with a high school and associate degree I was quite impressed. I have never heard that before in other school setting. The students also get involved with the community charity events and fundraisers. These are things that help your child become a well rounded person. ~ Alanna Giddens

Not impressed by this school. They do not get personalized one-on-one attention when needed. They are not helpful at all. Please parents research before you move your children here. I wish I had researched more. My child has been nothing but unhappy.

If your child is struggling with an academic part of their curriculum not being touch by the big schools come to Grand Canyon Prep Academy. You ll find that help here. That s the basis of the school -it s small compact and they ll put your child on the right track. ~ Michael Fisher

Grand Canyon Prep has allowed my shy daughter to blossom. She would have fallen through the cracks at a bigger school. Thanks GCP

I have had my child in GCP since 7th grade. He did so well that he skipped 8th grade and went straight into high school. He is currently a Junior who will have earned 12 college credits by the end of this semester. He was able to go to Japan and is currently taking his 4th year of Japanese. the teaching staff is exceptional. three of the current instructors are college certified professors. the environment is close and all teachers are in daily communication with parents whenever necessary. I saw a complete transformation in my child. He loves to go to school now and looks forward to all his classes. GCP is an excellent choice for selective parents looking for a great education in a small environment.

I transferred my 6th grader to this school from a huge public school and he is LOVING it. He is blossoming here. He loves the smaller classes being able to talk with his teachers and the wide variety of electives. In no way do I find the curriculum here behind or lacking compared to the public school he came from.
