As a student I can say that Webo is not as great as it could be. There are the good students and athletes that everyone see's but there is a seedy underground part as well. There is a lot of pills in circulation a lot of rumors and a lot of people who will get you drugs or cigarettes almost immediately after school lets out. Many students actually come to school high or on pills. Students don't really take the staff or discipline seriously and make jokes of it. And personally I have seen many teachers that lose their temper and go off on students. There are also drugs in the athletics department. Honestly it's your average inter city school and not to be mistaken for a rural untouched and purely good school. I am again a student and will be a junior this year.

My family moved to the Western Boone community when I was in 2nd grade and my sister was in 7th grade. I still remember my family meeting with the administrators and feeling very welcome. We checked out two other school districts and Western Boone was the last one my parents looked at before they decided to settle here. I was never heavily involved in the many extracurricular activities Western Boone Schools offers but I still stayed involved in the community and the school as a student. The administrators are great teachers are fantastic and caring and they put in so much time and effort. The Western Boone community has become my second family. It's filled with great people it's a fantastic place to live and the community and school corporation has offered me opportunities to be successful after high school. In fact they've given me more opportunities than I can count! The best part about it is that the school corporation has gotten even better since I graduated. When I get married and have kids they most certainly will be attending Western Boone Schools.

I am a parent of a special needs teenager. After struggling in every school he has ever attended WEBO has been such a breath of fresh air. I feel I can finally trust that my son is being treated fairly and not being bullied. The Teachers Special Ed staff Principal VP and Sports coaches have been helpful encouraging and a delight to deal with. They truly put the needs of the student first and my son feels that this is the first school where he has felt the teachers actually cared. What a blessing WEBO has been in my son and my family's life.

I love Western Boon Jr. Sr. High school because it has good academic and sports programs. It is a small enough school that everyone knows each other and there is a real sense of community there. Most of the teachers are very good and the school also has good art and band programs.

It is a fantastic shool. Western Boone has a superb musical academic arts and agriculture departments. The faculty is top rate. I have seen other school where the faculty just doesn't care about the students. I have also seen bigger schools and I adore the smaller atmoshphere that Western Boone has.

I am a parent of a Western Boone student. I believe that Western Boone is an excellent school. Especially when compared to the surrounding schools. I love the fact that Western Boone is small and rural. Everyone knows everybody else. The teachers really get to know their students. Class sizes are fairly small. You feel like part of a family. That's something that you can't get at a large school. The administration has always been very accommodating and fair when I've had any concerns. Like all schools these days there are some fighting and bullying problems. The one time my daughter was involved in a serious bullying incident the school acted in a very quick positive manner. I was very pleased with the way they handled it. I also just love their art department. It and the art teachers are first rate.

I am a parent of three children attending the Western Boone Community School Corporporation. I have one at the HS one at the JH and one at Granville Wells. I have been very happy with the education my children have received. I think the parent envolvement is the reason for the overall success of the school.

I have had three Western Boone (WEBO) graduates and a freshman still attending. Two of my children graduated from Purdue one went on to become a Marine and WEBO helped them to become successful adults. The school is rural and is a closed campus which is good. Sports are very important and like most small town schools popularity can be based on who your family is. Any problems we've had at WEBO have always been dealt with in a fair and appropriate manner. WEBO's SAT scores and ratings are higher than surrounding schools. Parental involvement is very high. Students are typically well behaved but there is still some degree of bullying drugs teenage pregnancies etc. Every school has its problems WEBO is no exception. WEBO provides a great education excellent teachers and a fun and safe learning environment.

The education is a little bit flawed sometimes but the teachers and the students are very very nice and funny

After dealing with the principal of this school recently I have found that the parent in this school have no rights. There are no apeals. Hearings are done unfairly. When the principal will tell you up front that you can have a hearing if you want but that he has never lost one. There is bullying in this school they say the victims should go to an adult or teacher that doesn't work either because this is such a small school everyone knows everyone so it does matter who you are and who you know in this school.

Western Boone is a community school with parent support and involvement. The school though small provides the needed tools required for future development and a strong foundation for post education.

The level of parent involvement for Western Boone is fantastic. I feel it drops some from the elementary school to the junior high and high school. Overall I think that the teachers really care about their students and they get to know their students very well. I would like to see more technology incorporated into teaching. Western Boone has a great opportunity for extracurricular activities. However they are not equally attended by the faculty. It is because of the parent involvement that the music and art programs exist. They even buy jacket for the kids. I love the small community and the attention my children get.

We are horrified by Western Boone High School on every level possible. The quality of students the education and the quality of parents at this school is absolutely substandard. There are a handful of teachers who care and bring value to the classroom however the majority appear to show up daily to collect a paycheck and insure their pension. Many sadly lack passion. The extracurriculars are passable...if you like sports you will be in good company. The student body comes from a rural background almost exclusively which is not necessarily bad but there is little diversity.
