I am a graduate of THS and the lessons I learned in classes and socially have helped me achieve my goals professionally and personally. My teachers provided the extra attention that I needed to be successful during my time at THS.

i am in all of topeka highs honors classes and i have yet to learn something that i already havent learned from last year. to me a fun class is a class where the teachers get you involved and teach you many things.. unfortunately i find most of my classes boring. the only problem is homework... i have had little to none...and i'm in all honors classes... and when i rarely do they aren't very well incorporated from what we "learned" in class. i do like the diversity and the fact that its the "real world" and you can make a friend no matter what you look like or how you act.

I was a student at Topeka High School and the lessons I learned acadmically and socially helped prepare me for the real world. I am now attending a top 20 university and can honestly say that Topeka High was the best school to attend to aid in a positive growth as a person.

It is a beautiful school with a very diverse student body. They provide a wide curriculum to a somewhat impoverished district.

beautiful collegiate gothic.........very diverse and active in the community........a community landmark

Topeka High is by far the best high school in the area. The diversity of the student body gives the kids a feel for what the real world is going to be like as opposed to other high schools where false environments centered around cliques and sports rule. The teaching staff is second to none and the test scores show so. The extracurricular activities have something for everyone. Topeka High boasts one of the best MJORTC programs in the nation giving structure to kids who may not otherwise have it and bring pride to tower. You won't be able to find a more involved and a more caring group of parent organizations anywhere. Topeka High has something to offer everyone which is why it's been voted best high school in Topeka for 2 years running.

I love Topeka High! It is a great school. Some people think that diversity is a problem and are scared of it. But I see it as a great opprutinity to expand your knowledge of whats out there in the real world!

I have 3 children and there is age differences btween the three My first 2 felt that they were not given the opportunities to accomplish what they wanted to.my youngest was in JROTC and he did very well.Help him to feel good about his accomplishments. They keep the students involved.

The MJROTC program is the best in the State. It gives Topeka High an edge over all the other schools in the district!

My third student is going to be a senior at THS. My children vary in skill level from gifted to learning disabled and interests from music acting to football baseball and softball cheerleading and dance team but the staff at Topeka High has been able to meet their academic and social needs as long as my child was willing to put out the effort. There is a wide variety of personalities both in staff and students so there really is no reason for a child not to make friends or succeed academically because there is always that special teacher that will go above and beyond to help your student if they ask for help even if the need isn't in that teacher's class.
