The good thing about sending your kid to a private school is that you get to choose the school and if you are not happy you can move. I am the parent of a 10th grader and I couldn't be any happier. I see how much my son has grown and I am pleased. The teachers are hands on and communicate through email as soon as possible. Always a plus.

The only thing this school has going for it is some of its better teachers. The funds are terribly mismanaged-- it mostly seems to go to uneccesary security and the lackluster athletics department. Discipline often goes overboard and condescends to students as children rather than young adults. Any extracurriculars other than drama are a huge dissapointment. Thier science program is mediocre and some of the mandatory classes--Health and Theology I'm looking at you--are geared towards the lowest common denominator making them easy to the point of uselesness. Probably the worst offense however is their college advising. When I was there 3 years ago they had THREE advisors for the entire 400+ Senior class. They were overworked and our 'advising' consisted of taking several surveys before having a quick meeting with our advisor where he/she plugged in our results to a college list the computer spat out some school names we were handed a few pamphlets and then sent away. That isn't good advising. Don't be fooled by the college enrollment stats--many students just end up languishing in community college. People who think this school is doing a stellar job are settling for less.

This high school is great on discipline consistent in their rules and the teaching staff and administration does all they can to promote the student. Their athletic program does what they can do to help their athletes achieve their dreams. I have one daughter that has graduated and another who still attends. I have been VERY pleased with the education and college preparation. I wouldn't have wanted my children to have attended anywhere else. As a single parent I am comforted in knowing that they too look out for the best interest of my children not just academically but emotionally and for their futures. Thank you Bishop.

All 3 of my kids have attended Bishop Montgomery High School with great success. The school well prepares its students for college and life. The principal & staff are like family and committed to each and every student's needs. My first 2 kids who graduated from there attend top notch colleges and my one still there is loving his high school experience! The kids & families are caring & enthusiastic and the student body is culturally diverse which is better than our public school alternative which is 95% white. My kids love the friendships they have made with kids of all backgrounds! BMHS's size is perfect too 1110 students-big enough to offer a lot but small enough to allow kids opportunities to make it onto sports teams and to shine in many ways. It offers a wide range of classes and activities that respects each person's individuality including 5 foreign languages and most AP's. And freshman can take honors. My kids have gotten every class they requested! The school creates class sections as needed. BMHS has zero tolerance for illegal activity and expels kids for it. It is co-ed and has uniforms with several options. Lovely safe location 29 acre campus a great place to be!

I am currenlty a junior at bmhs and every day i regret going to this school. It has the most screwed up rules when it comes to getting into ap or honors classes. In order to be in honors science you have to be in honors math in order to be in honors social studies you have to be in honors english. BMHS portrays itself to parents and incoming freshmen as a school that is a home away from home when in realty 85% of the students hate bishop. I have never heard anyone say that they love going to bishop which is why there is almost no school spirit from the students. That said there are some good teachers but overall they're not that good.

Alumni of BMHS education experience knowledge growth and Christ-centered school. BMHS is priceless and no amount of money can buy the safety assurance education and people at this school.

Bishop Montgomery High School is a wonderful Christian learning environment lead by the most 'amazing' principal Rosemary Libbon. With her leadership the faculty and staff of this school create a learning place for 'each' student. This is a very diverse campus with students of all backgrounds and academic levels. Every student is guided to feel that they are a unique and special gift from God with the abilities to do 'whatever' they desire and are willing to work hard for. I have been blessed with two graduates from this school and continue to sing it's praises!!

My son is a Sophomore at Bishop. The staff is great and the Administration truly cares about the students. I recently got a chance to visit a nearby public high school and was impressed when I found out that some classes at Bishop Freshmen level were similar to public school Junior level. Keep up the great job Bishop!

This is my son's second year at Bishop and he is doing great. There is a solid focus on academics and of course spirituality. Even if you're not Catholic (we're not) it is great to have the exposure to Christian values! There is no bullying that I have seen. Very strict and responsive administrators. I highly recommmend this school.

This school is pretty awesome. In academics it's the best. But the student's here are fake. They disrespect one another. Basically you have to be careful who you make friends with. They need more electives too. But overall a great school.

We had a choice of one of the top public schools in the state yet decided to send our children to BMHS. We are confident in the education and are thrilled with the community environment. Our children love it there and as parents we are glad that they do. The students are respectful discipline issues are few and the campus is safe. 5 Stars!

This is my son's first year at Bishop and he loves it. He had his pick of 4 schools to attend some of them more prominent but chose Bishop. He loves the teachers the students and the atmosphere. Thank you Bishop Montgomery for being the BEST !

My daughter graduated from this school and is now attending college. My son now attends and is having a wonderful experience. If your child gets involved there will be a lot for him/her to do. As a parent I have had a wonderful experience with this school. My children are successful young people as a result. It is small enough to make to give you comfort but large enough for all activities and educational value.

My son is a recent graduate and he absolutely loved BMHS. When asked about his day and his school he would always say 'I love Bishop. I feel love at Bishop.' Also the academics are wonderful. The teachers care. Needless to say he was well prepared for college! I would strongly recommend this school.
