This school has went down hill in the past couple of years in my opinion. it is in a great location a select group of teachers are wonderful. But if your child is a special needs child do not send them here.

This school is excellent! The teachers and administrators are top-notch and they truly care about challenging and ensuring the sucess of your children. As a military family we have moved quite often and we have been to many different schools however very few have been as wonderful as this one. My kids loved this school and ALL of their teachers!

My daughter has attended this school for 3 yrs. Although she is performing at a high standard I am shocked that this school is consistantly rated 'needs improvement' by the state. They are in corrective action at this point. She has had an amazing team of teachers I think that the school is just too crowded for them to be successful.

This is my children's first year at Temple Hill Academy. I am very disappointed at the lack of communication some of the teachers have with the parents. I have called several times to speak to my daughter's teacher but she refuses to call me back. It is very frustrating and not a good sign that the teacher cares about my daughter's education.

My children started in this school last year. So far my kids have been blessed with great teachers. Who work really hard with them and really helped to make my children feel welcomed in a new environment. I must say that when I've called with an issue or question they've gotten back to me in a timely fashion. I only wish that the school had more challenging programs for example a gifted and talented education program. This would really motivate and encourage children like my oldest who gets bored and doesnt feel challenged at times. The extra programs like art music and band are really great and allow kids to show their abilities in different areas. The teachers are great and really work hard with/kids.

I am a parent and my daughter's teacher was good. WHat I didn't like was the lack of communication between the actual school and the parents. Notices were never sent home on time permission slips for trips included very little information specifically about where the trip was to. And everytime I called the school they hardly ever knew what they were talking about I'd end up getting the right information a day before an event and by then it was too late for me to participate. Definitely need to improve their communication and memos out to parents in a more timely manner!

I attended Temple Hill school in the 80's and 90's kindergaten through 6th grade. I received a wonderful education and had a great time. Parents need to be aware of how large the school is compared to others in the district but when I got to high school and met kids from other schools I could see no difference in our educations.

Both my son and my daughter went to this school. I had not problems. I would like to commend the school on it's music program. Unfortunally there music teacher has moved on this year. that is a great loss.

This is a great school. One of the best elementary schools in the Newburgh school district. If more parents got involved in this school Temple Hill would rate #1.
