Regents Exams (RE)

In 2011-2012 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics, global history and geography, and US history and government are displayed in GreatSchools profiles. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

I attended this high school and now attend a well-known and distinguished college. I feel like I have been very well-prepared for college and life. The teachers care a lot about their students and go above and beyond to ensure that we all learn to the best of our abilities.

Walton is a close knit community with a great history. Many alumni have become very successful in their chosen fields. Currently we lack the dedicated inspired leadership necessary to return the school to it's former outstanding position of academic excellence. The search continues for a new superintendent of schools and we hope to find a new leader with the vision and experience necessary to guide our school.

Walton Central is a really good school district. It is small friendly and I am proud to have 3 kids that graduated from Walton. They have good academics as well as very good athletics. Especially their football program.
