In 2013-2014 New York used the New York State Assessments to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English language arts and math, and in grades 4 and 8 in Science. At present 2013-14 results are available only for English language arts and math. The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of New York. The goal is for 90% of students to mee

Thomas Marks Elementary provides a great education. The class size is usually 18 students. The new principal has adds much to the morale of the students and faculty. He does a great job of involving parents. The PTA is active and supportive. I give TM 4 stars because the math curriculum needs to be more evolved and the Art curriculum is pretty dull. Overall TM offers a solid education in a nice community.

TM is an awesome school. The PTA is very involved and works together as a wonderful team. The teachers are phenomenal and the programs they offer throughout the year are great! TM is a reason to move to Wilson not just a plus!

I am very happy with Thomas Marks and my daughter is as well. The academic program is wonderful she is doing extremely well but is challenged. Very nice music program opportunity to be in musicals band chorus etc. She is involved in a soccer program though not with the school. Sports are readily available. She enjoys art class very much and they work with all different mediums so the kids can figure out what they like. Teachers and staff are very competent they truly care for the students and their future. Love this school!
