I initially wanted my son to attend another elementary school but I have to admit that I have been very happy with PPES. The academics are great and challenging the teachers are good and the principal is friendly thorough and approachable. I suggest you tour the school to see for yourself if you are considering this school.

My son attended this school and it was a very good school. However he is now at Saint James Academy which I think fits his academic needs in an exceptional way!

This is the kind of school parents dream about sending their kids to. There's great support for students and parents. This school has a racially diverse student body. Title I funding here means that there's extra money for technology and staff. The admin staff is friendly and helpful. Don't let the Great Schools Score fool you!

Pleasant Plains Elementary School is a great school. I had one problem with the staff- not very friendly. I don't understand how one can walk past another without a greeting. I understand manners start at home. I am a firm beliver in that. It doesn't hurt to be friendly. The neighborhood is a great place to live and raise kids . Most people in the neighborhod are very friendly . It makes me wonder when I would enter the school walk right pass a teacher and nothing. No hello or smile ! I would definitely wonder about the surroundings in the building.

My children go to pleasant plains i love the teachers they do such a good job i can not tell you how good they are!!!!the office staff needs an attitude check and as far as the parent involvment some of us have to work sorry .The teachers do a great job and are great at what they do i would not send my children to another school if i could.

I love the curriculum. My daughter is in the gifted and talented program. She gets a lot of support to excel. I am a devoted single parent and really had to go that extra mile to make my daughter's experience a good one. I see some parent involvement among the mothers who are lucky enough to have that extra time during the day. That does not mean a lack of dedication from those of us whose circumstance does not allow us that time. Although I like Ms. Partilla her staff can be off putting. I worked past that and not every parent will feel they should have to do that. Not every parent will have the time to do that.

My son attends Pre-K at Pleasant Plains. The teacher and her aids are the best!! If you have the opportunity to attend Mrs. Lansingers class you are very lucky. Over all it is a good school. But the students lack parent envolment.

We have wonderful teachers here at Pleasant Plains elementary schools. All of my son's teachers go the extra mile in helping each child exceed. Being a concerned parent and a teacher assistant for Balto. Co. Schools I would like to see more educated teachers and smaller classroom sizes. Our children need to have one on one attention for them to have successful academic years in their education.
