California Standards Test (CST)

In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

Thrilled with the teachers involvement withg my student. They are very responsive to parents and are easily accessible via email. Only dealt with Administration twice and both experiences were professional and the issues were resolved in a timely manner. The new buildings are amazing a huge source of pride for the students and staff alike. Parents in the booster Club are great! Go Tracy!

We are planning to move to Tracy and are considering Tracy high ib program as our first choice. I want to know about the academic environment. Are the students working very hard and have cut throat competition. Is it very stressful. How helpful are the teachers. Do they also have an AP program???please help me decide.

I am currently a senior at Tracy High and I can not even express in words how grateful I am to my teachers. The school is about to look great with all the new buildings and the teachers have helped prepare me for the world. The teachers genuinely care about me and all my peers and were always there to listen and help. This is a great school and I am so proud that I get to say that I am going to graduate from Tracy High School.

So far so good! Renovations are a plus and is making my student proud to be there.

i think this school is great! with the new renovation of the two story new building and the science building soon to be done. this school is getting greater and greater each day.

Tracy High is a great place to send your child academic wise. From the eyes of a freshman to me my classes don't seem overcrowded disruptive or under-academic. The AG-science and International Baccalaureate program are great and some of the teachers are the best in the state.I am taking Pre-IB classes and let me tell you at times this class can be very challenging. The Performing Arts Magnet has the best musicians as well as vocalists and their reputation has set the bar high for other competitors. The facilities could be better but when it is renovated and the New West Builiding is built then THS will be the best place to send your child.

My son graduated in June. He had a good experience. Little support for students outside the IB program. Due to the growth in Tracy lots of teacher changes...bad impact to students. The cosmetic issues are small issue compared to the dedication of 85% of the staff. Good families. City support of the school is great. Still a small town feel..great! But need to catch up with Politics Computer Science Engineering....enriching summer programs college visits..involving parents at 9th grade to support/create college path.

This school has alot of programs to choose from. Teachers are very understandable kids are great. Not many fights as the other high school in tracy.

School has lots of programs to choose from but the facility is in terrible shape. No heat during winter and no air during summer.

Academic programs are excellent. The performing arts are great as well but their sports could be improved.

The academic curriculum is outstanding at this site as well as the extra-curricular activites. Parent involvement could be better but since this is a commuting city most partents are not around to volunteer.

Variety of Academic programs is great. Teacher quality vaies. For the most part both the new and experienced teachers are wonderful and genuinely caring. There are some teachers that are burned out and should have retired some time ago. Good music program art could be better. Extracurricular activities and clubs better than average. This is a school wih spirit. Parent involvement average for High School level.

When my son went to this school he told me that he had the best time while in high school. Both the Academic programs were good and the teaching was fun. He told me that he did not get one teacher that he didn't like. He enjoyed the sports he played. He even saw a teacher who has been so involved with her club that she does not have time for any thing else. Other teachers he had were dedicated to their work. They wanted kids to learn more by teaching new methods.

Outstanding program for high achieving students (International Baccalaureate IB). Exceptional student run newspaper. Plenty of sports options. The buildings need to be replaced but the staff is mostly excellent.

Tracy high is over crowed. There seem to be some tachers that I have to question why they are still teaching. The sports programs seem to be a 'who you know' in order for some kids to play. Tracy has could be a really good school if they would just get back to the basics. I am glad that I don't have anymore kids that will go to the school.
