Four years ago we found ourselves in a situation that would not make it possible to continue paying tuition to a private school for our oldest son. We cautiousness registered him at Franklin Elementary for third grade and put our faith in the public school system. We were so pleasantly surprised with the level of education he received the total dedication of all the teachers staff and principal Mr. Lowry and the privilege to participate in the district's music program. He is now at Burnet Middle School doing exceptionally well. We still have a child at Franklin now in third grade and next year our youngest will attend kindergarten there as well. I regret that I didn't have more confidence from the beginning but we listened to the wrong people's advice instead of finding out for ourselves just how great Franklin truly is.
At this time I have been very happy with the Franklin School. Though school has just started my daughter is really enjoying and flourishing in kindergarten. Ms. Godfrey has been a delight and really made my daughter look forward to going to school everyday. Mr. Lowry seems to have a great rapport with his staff and the students. When he comes out to the playground the kids run up to him and seem so happy- that alone is priceless moment for a parent to see. Keep up the Great Work Franklin School.
My son was in Kindergarten last year. The teacher was very involved with the kids. The whole staff is very helpful and everybody considered the students first. I know they have been doing a lot of work to improve the ranking of the school and they have been succeeding. I would like a nicer playground for the children's recess.
I like Franklin Elementary because I have noticed my daughters leanings increasing. Although she has only been attending for a few months (newly re-located) we have found that she is learning more than Kindergarten academics. She is learning education on a first level basis. Her teachers are great with teacher her and she has retained the work. I have also taken a step further from a parent's perspective in continuing her leanings by printing out worksheets that she can do at home that are consistent with what she is learning in school. She has been completing the pages all on her own without our assistance and that shows just how great Franklin School and its staff in its dedication to our students. Great Job Franklin School!
I love Franklin Elemntary School because of the wonderful staff student support and parent support. I have been in three school districts and Franklin as a pride in their students and community that far exceeds other schools. Go Union!
Great school staff and principal that are dedicated to the kids! Family environment and great PTA.
its above average with respect to curriculam and discipline.
This is a great school where the staff works very hard to help the children succeed.
When we moved into Union I had to switch my son from another scchool district. I believe this was the best thing that could ever happen to us. Since he started to attend Franklin School he has blossomed with the help of the principal and teachers. They are very concerned with the children's progress and their interaction with them is just wonderful. Franklin is a great school!
Shcool year 2002-2003 was 4th grade for my child. The lack of support and teaching skill for all his teachers were poor I was not pleased at all..
