Since my daughters have attended this school I have nothing negative to say regarding their academic progress. My daughter's 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Aymat was always available and informed me of any additional academic resources to help my child. Now in 3rd grade I can see her teachers work very hard and do everything they can to motivate students. . As for my Kindergartener I am more than happy that her teacher Mrs. Perez worked really hard in ensuring that she is 1st grade ready before she went on Maternity. My only complaint is that there is so little parent involvement represented in the PTA meetings. It makes me sad to see so many families at dances etc yet at PTA often there is less than 10 individuals. Meetings are only 1 time per month usually after 5pm and PTA is so so important. It provided information about your child's classroom grade activities at school and how the money collected gets spent. Also you can bring your child and have them use the computer in the media center. If any parents are reading this please help support the PTA it really makes a difference in having more parent and even teachers involvements.

This is a great school. I have two children enrolled. My son is in 2nd grade and my daughter in 5th grade. They have been there for the previous year as well. The teachers and staff are excellent and are attentive to the needs of students. Their zero tolerance for bullying is great. Among the fantastic teachers such as Mrs. Hoyos Mrs. Murphy Ms. Gaumond Mr. Schafer Mrs. Carillo are only a few that I have had contact with and as a parent appreciate their great teaching skills!!! Awesome!!! Great School.

Very good school. The principle is very attentive and takes full ownership of his school.

This is a wonderful school. My child had a great learning experience in 4th grade with Ms. Skoloski and Ms. Rick. These teachers were there for the student. I must admit at first I thought they were too challenging for students until I saw the progress my child was making throughout the year. These two teachers are demanding but now I am so glad that my child was in their classes. I would like to see the office have better communication with parents. When calling the school most of the time no one will answer the phone. It was also very difficult to get the vice principal to call you back.

From the outside Lawton Chiles looks like a great school and generally speaking it is good. There are definitely many excellent teachers but the administration and support staff are weak. Unfortunately the principal and assistant principal are more concerned about campus 'politics' than making decisions for the best interest of the staff and students.

I absolutely LOVE this school and the efforts put forth by the majority of the faculty and staff. My child had Ms. Beaghley in K and Mrs. Joseph in first grade and my child as well as the rest of the family ADORED them both. Keep up the good work LCES!

Lawton Chiles has been a wonderful school for our daughter. Her first year I was a little concerned with the effort on the teachers part but first and second grade have made up for it ten fold. Mrs.Braga and Mrs. Shever have put a great deal of their own time and resources into their classes and it shows in the students love of learning. Keep up the great work.

LCES is a school that is helpful but I am not impressed with some of the staff members. The assistant principal is wonderful and inspiring to everyone she deals with at the school. They use a red circle system in the cafe it does not do anything but anger the lunch room monitors. They need to find a better solution. It has not worked in three years. The pta has very few meetings and is mostly run by staff members. Don't expect quick help for ESE and Gifted testing.

This is my daughters 3rd year there and we love it. Everyone that you meet is very helpful. The lafter school program is wonderful...we love Ms. Donna for all her efforts to keep the kids occupied after school and during the summer. The teaching staff is great. Mrs. Braga did a wonderful job last year and Mrs. Shever seems to be just as wonderful! We feel it is going to be a great year for learning! I try to go on as many field trips as I can and they are great! Mr. G is the best principal! He is always around keeping an eye on everyone. Can't wait to see our grade this year!

This school is family/parent friendly. Teachers are wonderful; they are highly motivated which easily attracts the children to learn. They work with each child in reaching their individual potential. The teachers challenge the children appropriately. No child s gets bored. The surrounding neighborhood helps make this school; next to Waterford Shopping area Lockheed Martin beautiful subdivisions - where you can feel that the community cares about the environment for their children. We feel safe here knowing the surrounding neighborhood does not harbor sex offenders. If you ever visit the school you can sense that the students are very well behaved than other schools.

This year I am very happy with my sons teacher. Mr. Hernan has been great with him. He lets me know how he can improve and how. My son likes going to school. The afterschool program is good too. The one thing I would like the school to improve on is if they are trying to get a hold of me(his mother) leave a message if I don't ansewer. there is nothing worse than being at work and seeing that the school has called but don't know why then try to get a hold of someone not happening. I understand being busy just please leave a message.

My son transferred to Lawton Chiles from a private school a year ago. I worried at first but I was pleasantly surprised that he had a much more personalized educational experience more tailored to his learning style. He was unable to cope socially with his peers at his old school now he is a social butterfly and a honors student. Lawton is a school where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best and learn to respect each others differences. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is very much in tune with all aspects of the school and is a good solid positive leader who has the respect and support of his staff students and parents. We look forward to being a part of the Lawton Chiles family for many years to come.

This school has great music and art teachers. My son's fourth grade teacher was a real inspiration to us all. You give these teachers the support they need and your children will do well.

'I really really like it a lot. This school has a lot of love support encouragement and care to there students. The halls are broke down in color coordinated halls and the music art P.E etc. classes have there own class so thats very nice of them. I loved it a lot and I had to leave after 4th grade. I also still remember the theme song We are the Lawtons the Lawton walkins and here today to say that we love.....etc. I miss so much and this comment brings back memories to me. I am now in the 7th grade. Thank You!
