It was my great fortune nineteen years ago to have been hired at one of the most innovative and pioneering schools in Florida. As a research and design facility teachers at Patronis Elementary School shared a unique and passionate desire to teach think and learn in a multitude of different ways. I have observed that passion grow exponentially through countless interactions as progressive teaching minds team up and are willing to expand their thinking beyond the realm of possibilities typically expected in an educational setting. Toward the end of his life Michelangelo is believed to have said Ancora Imparo which translated means I am still learning. Our school is a living example of that profoundly powerful philosophy. Through vast and varied styles our teachers embrace revolutionary teaching strategies such as flipped classrooms project-based learning and technology immersion. Our students are empowered by choices thus leading them to be active participants in their own learning. Year after year Patronis Elementary remains a highly-ranked school in all areas and one that parents strongly desire for their children.

I absolutely love everything about Patronis. My daughter has such a love for school and looks forward to going every day. We have had wonderful teachers every year and the administration is friendly and considerate. There is no other school in the county that I would rather have my daughter attend!

We are most definitely thrilled with the education that our two children have recieved at Patronis. We are a military family and are hopeful at each new duty station to have a school with quality education and caring teachers that guide our children well. Patronis has done just that. Now I know that each student and each teacher are different. Not every teacher is a good fit with each student. However it has been our experience that if you remain a constant advocate and establish regular communication with your children's teachers that issues become quickly resolved. Patronis is absolutely one of the best schools our children have attended thus far.

My family has been delighted with Patronis Elementary. My son made tremendous progress academically in 3rd grade thanks to an attentive and skilled teacher. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her 5th grade year both in terms of learning and social opportunities. The campus is friendly and welcoming with gardens planted by students staff and volunteers.

This is one of the few schools where one can approach administration and not feel overwhelmed or helpless. Mrs. Spivey is a wonderful person principal and just an all around great lady. Her loving attitude spills over to teachers and staff who work very hard to help each and every child accomplish. The A rating is well deserved and I feel my gifted child has been properly challenged. PTA is strong at this school and hosts festivals and fundraising events outside the usual box. I especially appreciated NOT receiving tons of stuff from them begging for donations. The campus is pretty too. All around great place for learning.

This school is not all it is made out to be. My son has been in 2 different classes this year. There is no communication from the teachers and staff. I have requested conference after conference. My son comes home begging to go to school where the teachers don't yell all day. The majority of the teachers are over 60 and can not seem to relate to the children. I have been in to help with parties events etc. and feel like the parents in the classroom have more control and structure than the teacher does. We specifically moved to this school district because we heard this was a school and are sadly disapointed. Don't just choose this school for test scores and good reviews. Do your research before choosing this school. Some other schools in the district have similar testing scores and might not have the issues that this school has. I wish I could get back my son's entire 2nd grade year. The teachers here took my happy boy who loved school and made him hate it and not ever want to go back to school again.

Proud to be the parent of a Patronis Panther! Considered private school but opted for Patronis because of it's great reputation. My child has really done well & he's receiving a better education than I could have ever imagined for him. His teachers & the administrative staff are absolutely wonderful!

Once again I would just like to say how great this school is. The quality of education that my kids have gotten are truly impressive. I really love how each student is challenged to not only do well but to exceed in their own goals..their teachers are amazing educators. EM

My son has gone to Patronis since K and is now starting the 2nd grade. He has had wonderful teachers and has learned more than I ever did at those grade levels. I am so pleased with this school and all of the teachers and staff.

We feel so extremely thankful that our children attend Patronis. From our experience the teachers that our children have had have been excellent. My son had a severe speech impairment when he qualified for the ESE program at the age of 3. His teachers and his speech therapist were great!. He is now finishing Kindergarten and no longer requires speech. Hurray for him and hurray for all the hard work his teachers put into him!! My daughter who is in 2nd grade has been with the same group of kids and the same teacher since kindergarten. She also has had a great experience and a wonderful teacher.

Although American my kids grew up in Germany and did not speak any english when we came back to the US in 2004. Patronis was amazing in helping my children adapt and learn. My children never felt left out. The contrary! Teachers and students welcomed them in a manner that made them feel like they are the most special people (which they are to me of course!). Due to this positive introduction to the american school system at Patronis both my children are very good students and have excellent grades.usually better than their peers! My daughter is entering the 8th grade after the summer and she still continues to bring home these kind of grades - Thanks to the 'foundation' provided to her by Patronis. PS My children now speak accent free english!

Patronis is a wonderful school. The students are well behaved and happy teachers extremely dedicated and administration caring and efficient. There are wonderful services for ESE students and a lot of tutoring available.

In my experience the teachers range in quality. Though the number of students listed in class size is not particularly bad the teachers seem constantly overwhelmed and barely in control of their classes. After school programs (i.e. Christmas program) are required for children which can create severe hardship for parents due to scheduling conflicts. If I had the time to home-school my kids would be out Patronis by this afternoon.

My granddaughter started school at Patronis in the middle of last year. The quality of education that she was getting before coming here can not begin to compare with this school. Her teacher went out of her way to help her catch up with the class and make her feel comfortable here. The first grade curriculum here compares to third grade where we moved from. And the school ecourages parents to volunteer and welcomes participation in all areas in the school.

I put my son in Patronis after having him in private schools. This is probably one of the best public schools I have come across. He is flourishing at Patronis. Superior administration. Organized disciplined and the teachers are happy there whic says a lot. Definately would not be afraid to have my child in this school.

Excellent school teachers really meet the needs of all students unlike other schools at Panama City Beach. We were very please with our child's academic growth over the 3 year period she was there. Highly reccommended.

Both of my children have gone to Patronis Elementary since they started schoool. The teachers and staff are the greatest. My children and I love it.

Wonderful school staff teachers and administration! Couldn't get much better!

Too many kids in classroom and no help for kids with learning problems.

What means most to me at Patronis is the overall atmosphere of teachers working together to help my children receive the best education possible. For example when my son was diagnosed with ADHD his teacher and counselor did all they could to help him reach his full potential in the classroom by providing quiet places for tests and a 'comfort' place to go if he felt anxiety. This school is not just about getting the best F-cat scores it is about individual children and making sure each one gets the attention they need to succeed. I am proud of this school for it's efforts to accomodate parents who know what is best for their children.
