This school is great! The teachers are great except for a few exceptions. I've learned more here than I did at private school. Send your kid here.

This is a great school for the community. The teachers are very dedicated and hard-working for their students to excel academically as well as sportmanship. With increased funding from the district state and federal agency along with great leadership from the principal and continued support of students parents teachers and community it will definitely outshine and produce more valuable students and leaders for the community and nation. We're proud of it.

This school is a very GREAT school. My daughter came from a school in Benicia and her grades have improved. She usually had drama everyday with other girls getting bullied and fighting all the time. Since my daughter came to Bethel we have had no such problems. Her GPA has improved 100% as well as her confidence in participating. I Have full communication with all of her teachers every friday and the school principal. Her medical is taken care of and I feel great knowing my daughter is at this school. I also have a great relationship with the campuss supervisors and I highly recommend sending your child to this school

This school is horrible. Very few good teachers. Mr. Garrison is definitely the best teacher at this school. Without him this school would be absolutely nothing. The principal vice principal and entire administration are uneducated and do not do their job correctly or at all for that matter. Mr. Garrison should be the principal of this school. If you can do not send your children here. The Math Department is also horrible the teachers do not teach well and out of the entire department only 1 or 2 teachers teach. The rest answer questions with questions which is not helpful to the kids at all.

Despite the serious lack of funding & Large class sizes JBHS is a great school with caring teachers.

This school is way out of control. I am taking my child out and sending him to a private school

I have 2 kids going to this school and so far I'm very confident on their progress I have contact with teachers and staff I get progres reports without any problems. And so far they are doing good.

Aweful! Very poor feedback to parents from teachers. Lucky to recieve grades from administration once a year. Violent campus. If you care about your kids don't send them here.

I attend Jesse Bethel as a junior and I know a lot of people think Bethel is a bad school and a bad environment but honestly it really isn't. A lot of students are involved in the school activities like sports band leadership yearbook and clubs. As long as the students choose the right friends then their high school experience will be one to remember. Even if your child doesn't seem like they're hanging out with the right crowd you can't choose their friends. Many upperclassmen help out freshmen because of Link Crew. Leadership students are very involved with the school and do much more than others credit for. I love Bethel and trust me I would never choose to attend another school.

The Jesse Bethel High School is really a very cool school.

The quality of academic programs offer at Bethel is making progress. Parent involvement is limited. The school can be no better than what parents make it. Get involved parents!

The improvement of Bethel had increased in the past two years. Although there have been many bad ratings for this school I believe that Bethel is certainly going somewhere and making progress. The new principal is very considerate of the safety of the students and instructional time. Teacher quality has improved in the last two years. Many of the incompetent teachers no longer teach at Bethel. Extracurricular activities are excellent. New clubs are created every year. Leadership has been exceptional last year and plans to be this year. Leadership has been getting recognition all over Vallejo. However parent involvement could progress more. This year Bethel is trying to create more parent meetings. Incoming Freshmen are now welcomed through a new program called 'Link Crew'. Overall Bethel has improved a lot in the past two years. However there is always room for improvement.

Bethal has improved much since the new administrator arrived. The sports teams are very good but not the behavior of the athletes at school. The principal rarely moves around the school. She seems not to like mixing with the students. There are more permanent teachers this year than before. I think Bethel is a good school but to many of the kids dont appreciate it.

I think that this school is of very low quality and I do not recommend to anyone looking to get there kid a quality education. The teachers that is if you re lucky enough to get one are of very low quality and have no moral drive. They seem to be only in it for the money and most do the vary minimum to insure there student academic achievement. The school has little to know extra curricular at times and when available are at a price much too high for the average student. The leadership at the school is very poor and seems to prefer punishing the small margin of dysfunctional students rather that rewarding the exemplary student attending the school. In concluding this school along with others in the district is a very mediocre way of bringing up students to be assets for there society the future of this great nation.

This school is low in academic performance of it's students.

Jesse Bethel High School is poor in academic performance. The environment for the school is not a safe one. Fights break out a countless number of times.

Jesse Bethel is not as bad as people assume. It's an ok school with an ok environment. The school has good teachers who know what they're doing. There are teachers though that drags the whole school down to its abysmal levels. However Bethel is still a good school. Don't be fooled by the api results or any tests results posted about the school. The results are dragged by the majority of people who choose not to do anything however as it is plain to see those who want to do something with their lives are bringing the scores up.

Parent envolvement is very low. Jesse Bethel has a great quality of academic programs for student who are struggleing with various classes. The availabillity or music art sports and other activities are very good and if a stundent can excel in a particular activity and maitain good grades that can be there ticket to collage. Over all Jesse Bethel is a great school every school has its good days and days were theres a need of improvement but Bethel is a school of excelance.

There is very low morale among the students and teachers. This school seems to have a difficult time retaining teachers from year to year. The class schedules are in such disarray and constantly changing. There is such a shortage of teachers that several classes do not even have substitutes. The school should require the teaching faculty to post their class assignments or syllabus on the school's website(jessebethel.net)in order to assist parents in monitoring the student's progress. Furthermore the school's website should provide email links for each faculty member to facilitate better communication with parents. It is often times very difficult for parents and students to make individual contact the teachers and other staff.
