Two of my children currently go to this school. One for five years the other for three. I have found this to be the best K-6 school in Victorville.

GREAT SCHOOL! My son has been attending West Palms for two grades now and is doing better than he ever has. Before coming to this school he was bullied by teachers who said he needed to be held back because he wasn't reading at "their expectations"...well a few months into his first semester he was right where he should be and now is receiving reading awards all the time. The music are arts base at this school allows children creative freedom and expression. I love the vibe at this school and it is very nicely set up and safe. I highly recommend this school and am happy my daughter will start kindergarten their next year. This school has helped my son gain confidence and feel comfortable in being unique. He had Mr. Miranda last year who always had patience with him and encouraged him and has Ms. Kajatani this year who is a fun-loving woman who finds the great qualities in kids and teaches through their learning style. The extra curricular activities at this school make it a FAMILY school. There's never a dull moment for our kids and my son being in Leadership now means he gets to do tons of cool stuff! YaY for West Palms the SHAW/PAGE Family loves you!

Well we are new to the high desert. Coming from the Los Angeles West Side area we are very spoiled when it comes to engaging teachers great academic programs safe campuses and lots of field trip study. We are leaving our 1st home which is located near the mall and has Liberty as it's parent school. We have not had a chance to go to Liberty yet because we were sent to the overflow at Brentwood. Now we are getting settled in our new home near West Palms and are excited about the upcoming Kinder and 5th grade options. Stay tuned we will let you all know the TRUE regarding this school. We look forward to the ARTS and MUSIC as well as ACADEMIC excellence...we only want EVERYTHING LOL ok until the Fall term.

West Palms is an amazing school! I have 2 children there who have been at West Palms for the past 4 years. The teachers are all great and have always challenged my kids to be their best. They are placed in scaffolding groups with kids at their same academic level so they are being taught at the right speed for them. My kids have both scored advance in all levels on their CA State Tests! This school of choice has a focus on the arts but for those who said it is all they teach they are wrong. Electives are only the last 55 minutes of the school day. They do talk about the composer and artist of the month but its not a focus of the day. My daughter who loves music has learned 5 different instruments and my son loves that he can choose team sports (and other options) as his electives since he is a little less interested in the music aspect. The music teachers are great and our booster club raises funds to pay them to teach after school music since the state pulled funding for it. The booster club also puts on many family activities throughout the year including fall festival dances etc. I love West Palms and am so glad that I chose to move my children to this school!!!

This school is horrible ! The worst school my child has ever been to and will ever go to . She did not learn anything ! She waisted her time here this school deserves 4 out of 10 . I am still mad that i brought my child here. She came here when she was in 2nd and 3rd grade she is in 6th grade now and if she would have stayed her she would have not got anything out of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My child has been with WP for 2 years. My son liked the first year but in the middle of his second year he didn't look forward to going to school which troubled me. I think this school is great for some but unfortunatly not for others. In my experience some of the staff can be messy cliqueish and don't know how to approche some parents with respect. Please talk with other parents before you make your final decision.

My daughter's grades have improved so much since attending WP. The music and art education they receive is great! I've told other parents about WP and they just can't believe that a public school offers so much to it's students. The teachers and staff provide a wonderful enviroment and I feel lucky that my daughter attends such a amazing school.

Do your research before you enroll. Not all that it appears. My child has attended for two years. At first things seemed to be great but then my child was no longer being challenged. Administration unfortunately does not take concerns seriously.

This is an A+ school. My son started attending the first year they opened in 2007. I love the fact that my son is getting an excellent education and is also receiving quality instruction in music (both voice and instrument). It is not often that a public school provides such resources. They really concentrate on the Arts learning about different composers and artist. I was very impressed with the art gallery they presented which included musical renditions from the students playing the violin as the parents viewed the art. Absolutely wonderful!!!

I absolutely love this school. My daughter completed 2nd grade here and is looking forward to next year. The scaffolding took awhile to get use to in the end it was just perfect. My daughter loved her electives and liked being able to change classes throughout the day. Great job WPC! See you next year!

This is an excellent elementary school! I am so proud of the progress that my children made this year compared to their previous years in another school. This school had only been opened for one year and already it is showing outstanding potential! I think that their test scores are fantastic and look forward to seeing just how much improvement they make next year. Congratulations to the principal Mrs. Theide for a job well done! We look forward to another wonderful year under her wing!

The scaffolding was different. Most teachers were good but some had diffuculty communicating. The office staff couldve worked better with us as well. I wish my kids were actually able to get the electives they wanted. But the one they got they liked.

This is a brand new school with a focus on art and music. The teachers are wonderful the staff is great and the administrators are excellent. The overall climate when you are on campus is amazing. The teachers really have a high standard for academics and there is a lot of activities for the students to participate in. I recommend this school to all parents who are involved in their child's education and want their child to receive the best education possible.
