Excellent my kids have been getting amazing grades this school truly does go above and beyond.

Amazing the school truly has great staff. The teachers really try to reach out to the student. It is a safe and mind building enviorment as long as the child has potential they will do really well.

I have really been amazed from my children's grades. They are really doing amazing thanks to this school.

The administration and teachers have demonstrated a level of caring and expertise that is truly impressive. My son has thrived in this very positive and supportive environment. I have seen not any kind of over focus on SOLs but instead I've seen teachers who care and an administration that has been open to my participation in helping my son's education. It's a great place for a kid to learn and thrive.

A small town feel community with caring teachers and excellent academics. A strong PTA and volunteer of community great principal leadership it's a great school. I would like to see more technology perhaps ipads for all the kids and more programs for the higher achieved children but its a warm environment I would like to see spelling bees for instance and level 4 academics if possible added.

Although the leadership could improve at this school the teachers are excellent. The children love their school school pride is very high and the level of academics ares stellar. I have been very happy sending two of my children through Marshall Road.

Marshall Road is an excellent school. It is diverse and learning is differentiated in the classrooms to fit the needs each student. If you have the opportunity to have your child in Mrs. Thomas' first grade class consider yourself blessed. She is caring kind and constantly challenges her students to do their best.. She loves having parents work with students in the classroom and is always available to chat about your child. There are other excellent teachers at Marshall Road but Mrs. Thomas goes above and beyond. She even goes to baseball and basketball games to see her students play! Marshall Road is a great school and my children love it there.

I have had children at MRE for the last 6 years. Over the time period the class sizes have increased (this year to over 30) and the number of trailers has increased. Although the teachers and administration have the best of intentions it is impossible to do more than focus on SOLs given the class sizes and diversity of students. By diversity I mean ESLs and main streamed special needs. The GT are creamed off early and most opt for the GT school Mosby Woods. Those that are not GT or special ed are "fine " so long as they pass the SOLs. If your idea of education is about fulfilling potential and learning beyond the SOLs you may be disappointed as I am. My children will go to private school now because SOL is not adequate preparation for high academic achievement. A suggestion for the administration Please instruct teachers to not reference the SOL in the classroom. SOLs are are measure of the teaching not the students.

I went to Marshall Road for 6 years (1st through 6th grade). I had a pretty good education there they have some good teachers and some bad like any school. When I got to middle school I wasn't that prepared because the teachers only focus their teaching what's on the SOL's not helping you prepare for the next year. It is a good school for kids with learning disabilities and social disabilities but that makes it harder for the average and above average learners. It is not strange to have a kid being carried kicking and yelling down the hall way.

My daughter is getting a great education in a caring environment. We have had excellent teachers for four years and I've found the front office folks outstanding and committed. Beyond the school programs there are great science art flex math and music opportunities for your kid. PTA leadership and parental support is steller. High marks for M R E.

I am extremely disappointed with the leadership at this school.

Disappointed.....very disappointed with Marshall Road ES. Teachers and admin. is very defensive when parents try to be involved with their children's education. Thank goodness we're not coming back here next year. My children were not at all challenged at this school-in terms of academics-only harassed & teased while the teachers did nothing except put the blame on my kids.

My daughter is in first-grade at this school. I have been very pleased with the teachers that she has had to date. The new principal is very involved. The school has a great mix of ethnicities.

I have been very happy with Marshall Road with two attending children. Their teachers are very accessible and responsive - as is the administrative staff. My kids love school and are excelling - we are happy.

I was expecting to be blown away by the quality of this school and was disappointed. Here's a thought--how about the administration stop blathering about how great the school is for its diversity and cultural awareness and just teach the children what they need to learn instead? My child was not challenged at this school; in fact she backslid.

I have been very satisfied with the school. The small class size and number of students makes for a wonderful learning environment.
