I am trying to have my children's schools changed so that they wont have to go here. My daughter went to Carver for 3 years A B student but horrible teaching. The teachers Asst. Principle and Principle really dont even want to be in the classroom with the kids. They are there to relax. It really is a joke that this school exists. There have been boys in the bathrooms waiting on others to come in just so they can punch them and push them daring the victims to do something back...all of the boys and staff know of this. However parents don't find out until later when they see marks all over their children. Staff just blows me off. I am not exaggerating! 504 programs are not recommended because "there is a lot of paperwork involved". (Even when the physician does recommend it) I have actually been asked to increase my childs medication rather than 504 plan. I guess she didnt see that he had already lost weight. I have done everything in my power to change schools but no help. Worst and most unsafe place to leave your child. I would mark zero stars but am forced to mark atleast one.

Carver Middle School seems to be fair in dealing with problems. Maybe alittle slow in letting us know there is a problem but over all handle problems well. The school is always clean and office help is very nice.

To many bullies and reckless behavior. The teachers are not monitoring the safety of our kids.

I work at CMS and it is absolutely true that all students will be receiving Ipads in the 2014 school year.

They stopped buying books a couple years ago. What's worse is that nobody noticed. Supposedly they are saving up for Ipads for all the students. We'll see.

My daughter attended Carver Middle School from 2006-2009 & I couldn't be more pleased! The faculty & staff were absolutely amazing all 3 years!! Thanks to all that she was taught at Carver she was more than prepared to meet the expectations that high school would bring this year. She is now in 9th grade & excelling with A's in all of her classes. I am thankful for the time she spent at Carver & the lifelong friendships that have developed for our family w/ staff & students alike. I look forward to the day when my son will also attend. Thank you staff & faculty......you really do make a difference!!!

We considered two schools Carver and Youth. When I interviewed teachers and staff at both schools I was amazed at the friendliness and caring nature of the teachers and staff at Carver. During open house at Carver the teachers were in the hallway waiting to greet each student and parent. The open house at Youth felt cold and not one teacher or staff member asked if they could help or guide us around. Also at Youth the first thing we were greeted with at the door by one of the staff members was we are over crowded and your daughter may not get her own locker. Also that she would have to travel from one end of the school to the other to find her class room which may be in one of the many trailers. We are very please with Carver this year. My daughter gets a lot of assistance.

I think this school is a terrible place for children.Im in 6th grade and yes the staff is great but alot of kids are acting up and the staff does nothing. Its hard for me to focus on my work.

This School has an amazing faculty and Staff their involvement in student's grades is an awsome school. The Drama Program is the best and the extra curricular activities should be rated a 5. I give this school a 100%

As a past teacher at this school I found it to be very supericial in its approach to education with little regard to substance and inducing children to learn. They appeared to be more interested in deluding the students that sucess would be theirs without having to do anyting of substance.

My daughter had Mr. White Dr.Rose and Ms.Sims. I felt they all worked well with the kids and they also worked well with the parents. My daughter had a wonderful year and over all I had no major problems. Any problems I had were taking care of. We had a good year. Thanks to all my daughters teachers

This school is terrible. This is my son's first year there and he went from a straight A student to failing. The teachers don't care they won't give him his make-up work when he is out and I have requested several times. There is no 'help' given to try to improve. I will be taking my son out of this school this year and sending him to a private school.

Personally i dont really like cms..my child went there..and she would ask a question and there would be this teacher who would usually say i dont have time to teach you..learn it by yourself and for me i think that if a student asks a question it is the teachers responsibility....i think that they dont handle the trouble makers as well as they should..and maybe next year there wont be that many children there as there were this year and most of my friends are not letting their child go to that school anymore..overall that school is not as good as peopole used to say it was.

I have worked at CMS for many years and while veteran CMS teachers know the students and community the best we are valued the least. The administration here is disrespectful to the staff treats teachers as if they are beneath them and less important than students. What use to be an enjoyable work environment has denigrated into a place I come because I have to. There is no more comaradery no more fun or laughter. Teacher morale is the lowest I've ever seen it in any school I've taught in. It is disgraceful what this administration has been allowed to do with the blessings of the superintendent.

I like the way Carver has individual halls for the grades. Therefore 6th graders dont have to interact with the older students. One problem I see is that the school needs to get rid of the trouble makers so the rest can learn. There is too much commotion and time wasted by unruly students in the classrooms. The teachers will keep in contact with you via email or phone which I liked. Overall a good school.

Carver is a wonderful school. it has teachers and staff who will really pay attention to your/your child's academic goals.
