This school has its issues I have three children who as of this year will have graduated here. My first daughter had both of her knee caps broken by a P.E teacher who insisted that her fall while running was just her 'being weak' I have twins who will graduate this year and again the teachers attitude seem to be a major issue here. They definately run by thier own book and tend to not take the time to get know an individual child It easier I guess to just stereotype people. While this is still high school I would expect more from the staff and would of hoped that they would of shown a higher level of maturity.

I sent my daughter here from beginning to Thanksgiving Break of this year due to orders we had to move. She enjoyed the school. I liked what it had to offer. We had to work out a few kinks in the beginning but worked through them. The only downfall to the school is that I feel it is too big with too many students. The parents and students can get lost pretty quick. If I had to keep sending my child to this school I would. It was a nice experience and the teachers and office staff communicate great with the parents. Thanks WHS.

I am currently attending WHS.. about to finish my freshman year. I think this is a great school as far as academics and extra-curricular activities. The teachers push us to learn new things but are always there if extra help is needed. Teachers usually like to get to know the students and develop sort of a friendship in a way. Principals are strict but with a bunch of kids that think they are completely grown you almost have to be. As far as sports well you cant really go to WHS and not love them. We take pride in everything we do and usually excel in all sports. Waynesville also provides students with tons of clubs that get recognized as well. I would recommend this school to anyone I love it.

I could easily understand why parents would love this school as opposed to the competition - for one thing it's located in one of the most secluded places in America Waynesville MO. Waynesville High is without a doubt not for everyone; one must be accustomed to the country atmosphere leaving high school students with little to nothing to do. The staff and diversity at Waynesville High is what gives it it's excelence; however any students moving from a place that's is enriched with out-of-school activities a mall closer than an hour away and fun things to do that avoid trouble - be warned.

This the best school ever family related in a small town that supports everything in it. Teachers try there best to help students out as much as possible.

I would like to say that the many years I have dealt with the special education staff in the Waynesville School district I have been impressed with their willingness to try and acommodate all students and families with disabilities. They have developed many programs and even took parental input on what they would like them to try. Overall I think that this district really cares about students with special needs.

Waynesville is greata school. I see other schools in the area and they just don't have the diversity and the opportunities WHS has to offer. With a new $22 million dollar school Waynesville is truly a leader among Missouri's high schools.

Waynesville is a great high school. I enjoyed my time there and would have liked to graduate there. The teachers are great but students have to be willing to get to know them. Waynesville is a small community though and not my ideal environment but my overall experience at Waynesville was excellent.

The building is beautiful and new. Class sizes are not 18 students per class as shown in this student teacher ratio. I just came from parent/teacher meeting and all my sophomore daughter's classes were 25 students including her German1 class! Kindergarten has 24 in a class as well. I think the budget needs to focus on lowering these student/teacher ratios. But my sophomore is grateful to have one of the few schools in the area with air conditioning and a football team. Donna

I am a parent to two children that have attended or still attend Waynesville High School. My oldest son just graduated this year. He attended three years at the school and I must say that I am so very glad that we got stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood so that he could attend WHS.. outstanding school with an oustanding staff. My son played Baseball for the school the Principal didn't care much cause I only seen him attend a couple of games out of three years of games. My daughter is in Special Ed. the first year here she had a horrible teacher that is long gone. She now has other teachers that very caring about my daughter's education. She has learned so much in the two years with them. I give this school two thumbs way up!

I am the parent of 3 sons. 2 have graduated from Waynesville High with little difficulty. However my youngest son is autistic. Although the staff members teachers and aids are competent the principal is difficult to work with Special services staff have little compassion for family members and seem to have their own agenda. Improvement is needed in their efforts to communicate effectivly with parents.
