Albert Einstein said in 6 words what many schools leave out "Imagination is more important than knowledge!" Glenforest is a place of creativity imagination and courage. Every day students and teachers collectively are working together to improve. The strides made so this is a community effort. When students received awards it is in due to the work of everyone. Recognized as a School of Honor recently from SCISA due to the efforts of each student teacher and family involved in making the GFS a better place for our children. Go Bulldogs! A place where GREAT students who learn differently remind us of what is important! Celebrating success and initiative one heart & mind at a time.

I got an invitation to attend the first alaG at Glenforest last year and I was so impressed with this school I just cant stop thinking about it. The staff students and everyone there beyond words can say. Having a child with a disability (and yes thats what they call it) in public education is a NIGHTMARE however having a child with a learning difference (and yes thats what they call it) attend Glenforest is an Ability for that child to learn not a Disability. I am a Home School parent still though only thing holding me back from Glen Forest is finances but hopefully one day I will be able to send my child to this school. Until now though I am happy and he is happy with his Home School experiences A LOT more than we were in public education and this is where we will continue to grow learn and celebrate his ABILITIES.

Glenforest is doing everything it can to help it's students succeed. The teachers are VERY caring about each and every student. The teachers will call a parent when they are concerned about a student's progress. This is perhaps the most accessible school I have ever dealt with in terms of parent to administrator communication. The Headmaster even gave me his cell phone number (and he doesn't mind when I call him on it)! Each student is working at their own progress at Glenforest so test scores will be variable. If you are a parent and your child is floundering in public school due to their learning differences I urge you to check out Glenforest. My son went from hating school (at his old school) to loving school at Glenforest.

Glenforest is a unique school where children who learn differently can become who they are suppose to be. They are not bound by the way traditional schools have to teach but they design a program for each individual student. Students there have average to above average IQ's. This year an autistic student who was treated as mentally handicapped at a previous school graduated with an SAT score of 1540(1600 is perfect). There have been many sucess stories such as this. Teachers are allowed to be creative in their approach to their subject matter and take field trips. The athletic program helps build confidence and students do not have to try out to be a part of any sports team. Please visit the school ignore previous negative comments by a person who doesn't know the truth. It is a wonderful "dog friendly" environment for children to become themselves.

Glenforest SChool is an amazing school. It's a school where everyone knows your name and you don't fell left out. I am a Junior at Glenforest and love it. This is my second year and my grades are better than they were in public school. The motto ' If a child can't learn the way he is taught we must teach him the way he can learn' and they go by that at Glenforest. I love it and any student who is stuggleing in public school or parents who want a new place for them Glenforest is the place to be!I will be at Glenforest School til i leave in 12th grade. Another awsome thing about the school is how small it is 6 to 10 students in a classroom WOW! amazing compared to public school.
