I Think parents need to stop blaming the teachers and Principals and start being active in thier childs EDUCATION!!!! This is my daughter's first year at West Jefferson Middle School and before this she has been inside the district since 2005 and it is now 2012. She is a special needs child that requries alot of attention. I was able to meet with Mrs. Omen before the School year started for the children to fill her in on my daughter's medical condition's as their are several and some conflict with other her needs and desires and finally our expectations and the schools expectations. I also met with the IEP staff we did not all see EYE to EYE but all had the same goal to improve my daughters Education. I make countless trips to the school not by appointment and have always found Mrs. Omen Cool Calm and on track! I have always kept communication open by emai phone or in person. I have never not been informend about anything reqarding my daughter. I have been able to work with any conficts reqarding my daughter with each staff memeber that comes in contact with her. The school is pretty much new and kept clean. The students seem organized and under control. This school gets a A++
