Sylvania Heights Elementary is a great school. My daughter just finished her first year there and has had two wonderful teachers that have encouraged and motivated her to have pride in her studies. This will be my son's first year. We are looking forward to another wonderful school year full of New accomplishments. Also kudos to the staff and principal!

Great school and nice staff albeit my daughter's teacher rules the classroom with an iron fist she does have a sensitive streak. It makes for a nice balance.

My son completed Kindergarten this year and I was very happy with both his progress and the school. His teacher was helpful and great with him. The school staff was easy to reach and they care about the kids. I am grateful to have my son here and am looking forward to first grade.

This is my daughter's first year in school. She has been home schooled by me since Kindergarten. She just entered the 3 RD grade at Sylvania Heights and I was a bit worried about how it would go. It has been great. She has very considerate teachers and has adapted without any problems. I find that the school is working really hard to earn back their 'A' status and the Principal is very involved in the school's activities. What I have also noticed is that there is not enough parental involvement which I understand to be a problem considering most parents work and their time is limited. Hopefully the school will continue to be a good community school.

I love this school. There spanish program is a bit off and they only take spanish 2 a week. But overall this school is amazing.

My son is in first grade since last year we are having problems with reading unfortunately he din't have a teacher for 6 month and that doesn't help but my point is they told me that they will put a tutor to help those kids but nothing happen and the result is I put him on Sylvan learning center and that cost me $5'400; I will do anything for my son but I know a lot of parents that can not do it and that is sad because we count on them to help our kids.

Very disappointed with the administration currently at this school. They have done very little to assist me with my child's Learning Disability. Looking to transfer my child to another school.

My daughter is being in the extended foreing language program an I think all the teachers are being great. I would like the school to have more extracurricular activities.

I was very dissatisfied with this school. The office and adminstrative staff are extremely rude not just to the kids but to the parents. They do not have a good program to help your child when he/she is falling behind in a subject. I'm just glad that I enrolled my child in another school and regret not having it done sooner as maybe my son would have benefit sooner.

This school is ok. I was not staisfied with the teachers performance. But the office staff was nice. If your child has any special needs they are not accomadating in the least at this school and have no desire to assist you in any way.

Great educators make great students and that's what come out of this school.

They have many activities including holiday dances to keep kids and their families involved with the school. Great job in FCAT training!

The school made the best decision to use those Measuring Up To the Florida State Standards books. My children love them and I can help them with their homework easily because the lessons are right there in the book!
