Regents Exams (RE)

In 2011-2012 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English language arts, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics and several foreign languages. The results for English language arts, math, living environment, chemistry, earth science, physics, global history and geography, and US history and government are displayed in GreatSchools profiles. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

This school has such a wide variety of extracurricular varying from Field band to football to tennis to drama. The academics are also very wide spread. Each High school student has a chance to accumulate up to 24 MVCC credits by the time they graduate. The business programs are very well put together and the faculty is very well organized. Of course every school has their little quirks but overall very good school to attend!

School for the most part is adequate. In my opinion way to much emphasis is placed on sports over academics. Administration also refuses to address and work towards solutions for special requests of students for courses offered by other school districts that are unable at Westmoreland

fantastic school the population is a bit smaller but we all have a chance to really connect with our peers as well as our educators. westmoreland offers a great learning experience and i'm proud to attend here!

5 star school. the child teacher ratio is great. the technology is phoenominal. very conservative with their money. teachers are great. principals and other school board leaders are great. most students have a great relationship with them

This is a great school. The technology is far ahead of the technology in surrounding school districts. There are so many AP and MVCC courses available that a student can come out the school with a semester's worth of college credit! The principal and teachers are terrific.
