    After researching many schools Beginnings was the school that really stood out for me as the perfect fit for my family. Every day I am reminded I made the right decision by my son s enthusiasm when we talk about his day. The curriculum core fosters self-confidence by teaching children about emotional intelligence a current hot topic and helps children understand their feelings and articulate what they mean. This benefits us at home and has helped our son evolve from childlike tantrums to a confident communication by using his words to express his emotions. I cannot speak highly enough about the teachers. They are wonderfully creative and structure each month around a theme (e.g. nature physics community); my son s favorite so far has been gravity! The school welcomes and encourages parental involvement. I have read books to my son's class instructed them in craft projects and accompanied them on field trips. The administrative staff go out of their way to help your child succeed. I 100% recommend this school to anyone looking for a school that teaches so much more than the educational basics. We are sending our son there again next year!

    We can't say enough good things about Beginnings. My first child started there 3 years ago in the youngest (Seedling) room where our second child is now. The director who moved into that position about 2 years ago is outstanding and really moved the school from being great to being exceptional. We have also been highly impressed with the teachers in every classroom. In the baby room the teachers are nearly always on the floor playing with the children reading books and singing songs. They do an incredible job and have a thorough understanding of child development and the importance of engaging even the youngest children in activities to develop language and social and emotional skills. In the preschool classroom the teachers use exciting activities to teach the children about everything from physics (e.g. they learned about gravity by building ramps and dropping different types of object!) to animal habitats. Throughout the school there is a focus on social emotional development and cooperation that has been incredibly effective at enhancing our children's confidence empathy and friendships. On top of all of this our children LOVE going to school.

    Beginnings is an amazing school! I looked long and hard at many schools for both children and now have a 6 year old who started Beginnings at 2 and a 4 year old who started Beginnings at 2 also. Both are well ahead of the game in social/emotional intelligence as well as the more traditional curriculum. The founder is there daily the staff is loving and communicative and the grounds are lovely. I am thrilled with my choice and recommend Beginnings to friends. Meet with Donna and see for yourself the high caliber of teaching at the school.

    My husband and I are very happy with our son's experience at Beginnings. His teachers at Beginnings prepared him well for his current school experience. There are so many memories that we could share but the most noteworthy comment would be the effectiveness of the staff. The structure of the classroom taught him about rules and cooperation while it gave him comfort that he knew he could be himself. The school also has an open door policy that invites families in to share with the class and we liked doing that. We highly recommend Beginnings and it was a great start for our son.

    There is a lot of transitions that happen throughout the day at this school. Many classrooms combine daily to meet ratios and often I pick up my child and have to talk to a teacher of a different classroom. That teacher often has limited information about my child's day. Also my child had has small injuries but the teacher was unaware of 'exactly' what happened and responded with 'I think'--I would understand if this happened once but it was on an occasional basis. Finally the adminstration operates behind a 'closed door' policy--I wish they were more up front and direct with parents. As a result I am enrolling my child in a different school.
