I've had a child at Macomber for the past 4 years now and we will be there for another 3! I am extremely pleased with the teachers and the interaction with the students. Parents are welcomed into the classroom to volunteer. Any questions and concerns I have had have always been promptly answered often times via a phone call. I will say the office staff is lacking at times but the teachers more than make up for that.

This is a small school with a small budget and a big heart. It manages to inspire entertain and educate kids of all abilities. The parent of the child requiring and IEP did little to help out and in fact interfered with the staff. They do a remarkable job of keeping all the kids on the same page. If you want private instruction - go pay for it or home school.
My son attends the Macomber school which he tranferred to half way through the school year they welcomed him with open arms and made him feel extremely comfortable. At his previous school he seemed to be getting in trouble a fair amount but since he has switched this has been phenominal. The teachers are absolutely excellent his behavior at home has changed completely and he is now excited to go to school each morning which is an absolute blessing. This is a wonderful school with an absolute wonderful staff who pay close attention to each and every childs needs. I hope that I never leave Westport because this school has been amazing!!
I have been extremely pleased with the teachers and staff with their support and knowledge of children with special needs. The teachers take the time to talk to you about your child regarding progress or lack there of. My daughter has Linda Isaksen and I can not say enough about how she has made an impact on my family both personally and educationally with her support. We wish Ms.I could always be her teacher!
I have had three small children. In recent years two have graduated from Pre-K and K. My third is in pre-k for her third year. I can't say enough about the school or the teachers. Ms. I and her staff are an A+. I feel I've lucked out living in Westport having my kids attend the Macomber. I wanted all three of my children to reap the benefits of attending an integrated preschool/kindergarten. The Pre-k classroom is right on the mark.
My son was in a very difficult situation in another 'better' school. We took him from that 'better' school and he has excelled in many ways at the Mac. This is the second child in my family to enjoy tremendous success. The entire teaching and administration are stunningly good. As someone in the education profession I would suggest this school is one of the best available. Special thanks to Paula Sullivan Mrs. I. Mrs.Rego and their collective staffs.
