Hawthorne Elemetary School lives up to it's motto 'The little school with a Big Heart'. The staff at this school are composed of sincere individuals who put learning fun and consistency at the top of their list. The principal of this school is outstanding in every way.

Hawthorne School is wonderfully diverse! Teachers teach the whole child not just the academics. Families are invested in the school community not always in a financial way but definitely in a nurturing way. It is a wonderful place for our children to go every day!

Hawthorne Elementary is a great school although it's one of the smallest in District 200. The school motto is; 'The Little school with a Big Heart'. It lives up to this motto. I find the teachers to be very involved as well as the parents. It doesn't have the big budget like some of the other elementary schools because of it's size but it has one of the highest teacher to student ratios in the district. Whether a child has ESL needs or LD issues the staff seem to go the extra mile to make it happen. The PTA parents help out with extra-curricular activities so individual parents and staff are less overwhelmed by the array of programs. In fact the PTA just finished a fundraiser to remodel the playground that far exceeded expectations! In five years we have made more friends and memories at school than I can count.

Hawthorne School is providing my children with a top level education. Our children previously attended a leading international school overseas and Hawthorne as been as good if not better for my kids. Quality teaching excellent principal and leadership and my kids love it there. Great community. Thanks Hawthorne!
