A rare Economic time Low Prices AND Low Rates

It is 2008 and everyone is concerned about the sub prime mortgage collapse and the terrible economy. Even given these circumstances, it is a great time to buy if you have the cash for a down payment. Preferable you want to have a 20% down payment but you can buy a home with 10% down as well.

Why is it  such a great time to buy in this economy? Well, it is very unusual for the interest rates to be low and the housing prices to be low as well. You are able to take advantage of our county's economic situation if you have been able to save the money. Also, the market will rebound, perhaps not until the election, or perhaps not until we stop spending so much money on the war in Iraq, but it will improve. Then your home will be worth much more then you invested. Where else would you put your money -- the stock market or your savings account?
