LEED

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and it provides standards for environmentally sustainable, or "green construction."

LEED was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and its mission statement is to "...transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated. We envision an environmentally responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life."
