HOBOKEN, NJ:
The Mile Square City Has Much to Offer
Just 10 minutes from Manhattan by ferry, bus or Path train, this town of about 70,000 inhabitants has much to offer. Having undergone a true renaissance over the past 10 years, there have been many new and upscale retail establishments and restaurants opened and still opening on a regular basis. There are several new condo complexes, like Maxwell Place, the Hudson Tea buildings, Harborside Lofts, offering luxury amenities and some amazing views of the New York skyline. Most of the historic brownstones located uptown have been renovated and returned to their former beauty. The streets are filled with families and the parks full of kids playing.
Property values enjoyed close to 20% year-to-year increases from the early 2000's until last year. Today, prices are stable with average sales prices surpassing those of 2006. The average price per square foot for a condo is well over $500. Many properties are still appreciating, albeit at a slower rate. The highly sought after brownstones and condos over 1400 square feet sell quickly as families grow and require more space. There have been recent changes in local government, with both the school board and city council in new hands. While there is always room for improvement, overall, Hoboken is a great community.

Central New Jersey has a very large variety of real estate. Find out more at: http://othellorealty.com
The Jersey Shore:
Most active in the Summer, but the real estate season starts in the Spring. Generally, closer to the beach or water is more expensive, but it's possible to find real estate at reasonable prices. Each area has their own flavor, and price point, but there is something for everyone. Find out more at: http://www.springlakenjho ... rsale.com
Monmouth County:
Eastern Monmouth County is part of the Jersey Shore, but central and western offer a lot of choices. There are many highly rated school systems in Monmouth County. Besides the good schools in Marlboro, Manalapan, Freehold, Colts Neck and Holmdel they also offer great housing options. You can find very large 8,000 sq ft houses on several acres to small condos in new developments. Compared to New York and Northern Jersey prices they are very reasonable. Find out more at: http://www.marlboronjreal ... state.com
Ocean County:
The Jersey Shore continues down into Ocean County. The central and western part of the county is generally more rural, although more of Northern Ocean County has been built up over the past 10 years. It is generally more affordable than Monmouth County, partly because of the longer distance to NYC. Find out more at: http://www.real-estate-in ... ersey.com

Hudson County in New Jersey - A short commute to New York City
Hudson County is a short commute to NYC and offers a better standard of living. The "gold coast" offers new construction with breathtaking views of New York. Transportation available includes the PATH Train, NJ Transit, Ferry Systems and Buses. The Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel are also in Hudson County. Hudson County includes Hoboken, Weehawken, Jersey City, Union City and more.
Hoboken - Washington Street is very popular, lined with restaurants and boutiques it is always buzzing with life. Price per square foot in Hoboken is about half that in Manhattan. It is less than a 10 minute commute into the city.
Union City - Close to Hoboken and less pricey.
Weehawken - Residential and quaint.
Jersey City - A growing city with a lot of new development.
