Peoria Arizona

Like much of the Greater Phoenix Arizona metropolitan area, Peoria Arizona has undergone widespread changes over the past several years.

Peoria has been the spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners since 1994 and has hosted numerous other sporting events from the Arizona Saguaros soccer team to the Arizona Fall League.

Outdoor enthusiasts also know that Peoria is the home of Lake Pleasant, which offers everything from boating to fishing to camping and stargazing. And for those who turn their eyes to the skies, Peoria also is the home of the Challenger Space Center on the campus of Sunrise Mountain High School.

With the Arrowhead Towne Center just across Bell Road in Glendale, Peoria offers a number of shopping options in the power centers and restaurants surrounding the mall.

Peoria boasts a diverse selection of neighborhoods for its residents, from the historic center near city hall to large-scale developments like Fletcher Heights to Vistancia and Westwing Mountain in the city's northern reaches. Peoria also is the home of two active adult communities, Ventana Lakes and Westbrook Village.
