The Advantage of Renting a Home
Real estate market times are uncertain as home values rise and fall. While renting was once an option many considered unwise, it’s quickly becoming a popular alternative.
Arguably the only big problem with renting is that your money is not generating any sort of long term profit or turning into an investment of any kind, unlike homeownership which allows your property to build equity but also requires paying for insurance and additional taxes. If you don’t see yourself remaining in one place for too long, renting lets you move out whenever you choose without having to worry about how it may affect your credit or your bottom line. As long as you don’t mind potentially paying the security deposit and the first and last month’s rent when you first move in, renting may be a wise decision considering the current real estate market climate.
