Overview

Trulia.com is a residential real estate search engine that helps consumers search for homes for sale, trends, neighborhood insights, and other real estate information directly from hundreds of thousands of real estate broker Web sites. You can create your own custom search by price, number of bedrooms, neighborhood, and more - without having to submit a lead form, provide personal information, or wait to get contacted by a lead qualifier who may not handle the property listing.  Trulia works directly with agents and brokers to access and display their listings.  Trulia does not display FSBO listings and also lacks many builder-only listings on their site.  Trulia started their Web site in San Francisco, CA, but expanded nationally in late 2006.  They typically rank among the top 40 real estate Web sites for monthly traffic according to Hitwise.

Advertising Options and Rates

Trulia offers all agents and brokers the opportunity to have their listings displayed, for free, on the site.  A customer visiting Trulia who sees an agent's or broker's listing will be able to click on that listing from Trulia and jump directly to that agent's or broker's Web site.

In addition, Trulia offers paid advertising soutions to agents and brokers.  These include: adding a broker logo to the listing on Trulia; preferential treatment in search results (a featured home product); and banner advertising.  For more information on Trulia's advertising products, visit http://www.trulia.com/advertisers/.

Trulia also offers their partners various tools to incorporate onto their Web sites.  These tools include: a Trulia search box (search Trulia listings from your site); the Home Roll (scrolling display of new homes added to Trulia in a particular city); a browser search plug-in; and an XML RSS feed.  For more details on these products, you can visit http://www.trulia.com/tools/.
